Fabulous food and very reasonably priced.
Sat in the garden to enjoy the sun and sounds of the birds. Inside is also very nice. Special Afternoon teas need to be booked in advance, but there are nice things to have on the main menu.

I visited here with my partner on Sunday whilst on holiday. Fantastic staff, extremely welcoming and amazing food. We stumbled upon this amazing tea room after a trip on the tramway. 10/10!

£7 for a large pot of tea and 2 homemade scones.

What a lovely surprise, we have eaten here under the previous owners and it was nice, but this was excellent!
The sandwich I had was beautifully fresh, and my friends bacon roll was equally fresh and bursting with tasty bacon. We would have liked to try the yummy looking cakes but sadly too full.
Nice little garden, and spotless loos.

Balanced menu and tasty, well-paced meal served in the quaint bistro that is Merchant's. Dariusz worked incredibly hard, as both chef and front of house, to serve us with a lovely 4-course dinner on a chilly January evening. Thank you! Highly recommended.

We tried this little place for an afternoon tea. It was amazing. The home made quiches were still warm an tasted wonderful. Beautifully presented sandwiches along with chutneys and olives. Home made scones and loads of wonderful cakes. Friendly staff, and we were not rushed at all. Just left absolutely full.
The afternoon tea is by pre book only but would highly recommend.
Thank you.

We had a lovely lunch and cream tea in this cosy little cafe.

We had our 2 small children with us, who both have lots of energy, which can be quite difficult in a small space, but the server was great with them, chatted and made us feel right at home.

Food was delicious and the homemade scones for the cream was were some of the best I've had.
