I had no idea where to stay in Lismore for some work at nearby SCU and plucked Melville House out of a number of options. I was really happy with the choice and glad I went there for the evening. Staff were really helpful and my room was much bigger and more well presented than I had expected. It was a genuine old-school B&B experience and very quiet given it's located on the main road into town. Highly recommended.

We have had such an amazing stay at Melville, Mike and Charles was extremely accommodating to our family of 5's needs and last minute booking. They were able to fit us all in and the rooms were lovely. The pool was a huge hit with our boys but a welcome escape from the heat for us also. The rooms were beautiful, so clean and beds super comfy. I will definitely be staying here next time we are back on the east coast. Charles was very friendly and helpful with information when required. Thanks guys for a great stay!

Our stay at the Melville House was absolutely lovely. The host greeted us in the rain and made us feel so welcome even though we checked in a tad late (sorry about that!) The rooms are beautiful, clean and the beds are so soft and comfortable what more could you ask for? Highly recommended this beautiful Bed & Breakfast ❤

Had a beautiful large pet friendly suite for two nights while attending a medical appointment in Lismore. The suite was huge and everything was very clean. Our little dachshund was made very welcome and we were able to come and go with her without any fuss. The grounds and pool area are beautiful. Mike was so welcoming and very easy to deal with. Very close to the Lismore hospital and not far from the centre of town. Lots to choose from for breakfast. Will be our first choice if we are back in Lismore, thanks Mike

I loved Melville House, and will be coming back as soon as I can. After a long drive, MH was like finding a desert oasis. This historical house was just so so warm, and welcoming. I found the surroundings reminded me of visiting my Grandparents, this just truly a gem. I woke up refreshed, and calm ready for another long day ahead on the road.

The location on the Ballina Road, makes it a little loud, but the room was well insulated and i forgot the noice in quick time.

Like stepping back into 1940's England upper middle-class home. Everything was excellent. Charles and Michael very friendly. Our shoebox room was very cosy. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the upstairs room with ensuite. Clean and very large. Old world style, cool half spiral staircase, marble bathroom. 1930s style but in pretty good condition. Pool, massive garden and large lounge area. Simple breakfast was cereal/toast with tea and plunger or Moccona coffee. Suited us. Good value.
