Went here for an event.

I wasnt going to review this place but we were just so surprised with the staff and food.

We didn't expect much for the food BUT we were amazed how good it was (except maybe the dessert).

Also the staff were friendly, specially the one serving our table. But hearing other people, they had no issues with staff.

The waitress spilled gravy over my suit jacket and couldn't get any drinks. Only heavy beer non Australian. My friend asked for some salt with feed and is still waiting. Food was nice

Everyone needs to experience this place at least 5 times in their life!! waitress and bartender made me laugh constantly. very respectful and the boss is very nice and generous. love it

My teen daughter has coeliac disease so sending her to any event serving food is always risky and nerve wracking for her. Last Friday she attended a Deb ball at Melrose and even tho we had pre- ordered a gluten free meal, I called the venue on the day to double check everything. They had no hesitation putting me thru to the chef and Raju was so understanding and reassuring, talking me thru the menu in detail and telling me exactly what she could order and how it would be handled to avoid any cross contamination, which would make her very ill. She went along feeling safe, loved all the food and had the best time with her friends, not feeling singled out and had no ill effects afterwards. Definitely recommend this venue for any special diets and can’t thank Raju and his team enough for their care

The reception hall is great.
The food need is okay but need little bit of care when serving. Specially we got dishes in to tables without serving spoons and when we asked the waitress said they are coming but never came. It’s a simple action to add spoons when they are coming out of the kitchen.
Other than that no issues.
Recommend this place.

Large family group of us attended a deb ball last night. My elderly mum is in a wheelchair which we had notified the venue weeks earlier. No ramp found to enable mum to enter the hall. Had to go back outside to come in side door. We were told there was a disabled toilet near our table. Toilet was filthy & door wouldn't close. Then told it was "out of service" but no sign.
Directed to another toilet, far side of very crowded room, difficult to wheel between tables. Finally got there, door says occupied.Waited 10 mins, then knocked
Asked staff, they said it was locked. They got someone to come to unlock it. It had by then been very long wait for Mum to use the toilet
There were white fragments on floor, which got onto mum's black trousers. This saga really took the shine off an otherwise nice evening
Superviser Christina was very apologetic and sweet but the whole thing was stressful.
The ramp was eventually found at the end of the night but not set up, so we went out the side door to leave.

Food was as to be expected. No real surprises for reception centre food. Few problems with OHS. Very few ramps, no rails near steps and seating of guests tables very close to steps which were dangerous for patrons
