We stayed at Marramar for 3 nights over the Easter weekend in a peninsula tent (Wallaby). The view was amazing! Whilst there were trees they did not obscure our view at all. The first night we decided to fully embrace the wilderness experience and left the sides of the tent unzipped, but it was a tad windy so we zipped up for the next 2 nights. Meals were an absolute highlight, and when I say meals I mean breakfast/lunch/dinner (which are all inclusive). But the 5 course degustation dinner with matching wines was the definite standout. Each course that Chef Jerome Tremoulet prepared for us was outstanding, and I truly believe I have never enjoyed food as much as I did for these 3 days. I splurged and had a facial and remedial massage, which were both great, my skin felt wonderful for the next week! We can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise on the Hawkesbury 🙂

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a fabulous experience. The location, the food and the staff were all perfect.||First the staff. Chef Jerome Tremoulet is outstanding, and the food for all three daily meals reflected his incredible international and Australian experience. The degustation dinners with matching wines were wonderful. ||Other members of staff that were all so impressive include Denise and Tom, Mark and Gulia and the lovely Peruvian lady who whose name, with apologies, I won't attempt to spell. The Spa was great and Irene is a treasure in more ways than one.||We stayed in a luxurious Pavilion Tent, with the word tent really not properly describing it, or doing it justice. We had the sides down at night with the greatest view at dawn. Every accommodation had a great view. We also enjoyed the varied sounds coming from the bush around us.||You can do as much or as little exercise as you like. However we kayaked, and at the very least, a visit to Bar Island is definitely well worth it. ||Bush walking is limited to the one walk up the escarpment but worth it for the view at the top, even though it is a scramble in places and directions points need to be carefully observed with arrows and cairns being used.||Also there is fishing, a pool and a small gym.||We will certainly return!

It’s not often that a holiday destination ticks every one of the boxes, but this all-inclusive, luxury experience did exactly that when we stayed for two nights recently. ||||After a short boat ride from the public wharf, we found ourselves in a secluded and elegant river paradise with sweeping water and bushland views. We were greeted with champagne and a guided tour of the beautiful property, which has a pool, a couple of walks and a whole host of picturesque spots to recharge and take in the serenity. ||||We stayed in a beautifully appointed Hawkesbury Bungalow with an incredible mini-bar stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and there was a generous supply of sweet and savoury snacks, replenished daily. We arrived in the afternoon and thought we’d need to wait until dinner to eat, but there was a platter of decadent smoked meats and accompaniments as well as some moreish chocolate chip biscuits waiting in our room. The large back deck was a perfect spot to sink back into the comfy chairs and spend a few pleasant hours gazing out at the bushland and water below.||||The Marramarra team has thought of everything. There are spots to socialise, gorgeous comfy sofas to relax in, and a host of little outdoor locations set up with hammocks, lounges and outdoor furniture where you can immerse yourself in nature and soak in the divine views. For those who prefer to be more active, there was a selection of stand-up paddleboards and kayaks which guests could use to explore the surrounding waterways.||||The fabulous staff are attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. With less than 30 guests on the property at any one time, they were able to provide impeccable and highly professional customer service while still being warm, welcoming and engaging.||||A special shout out to chef Jerome and the team in the kitchen – magicians, all of you! All our meals were fresh, creative and incredible tasting, and my dietary requirements were catered to in a way that not just exceeded our expectations but blew them out of the water. At dinner, wines were matched to each course while nature put on a spectacular show as the sun set, and every course was five-star.||||A session at the day spa was the icing on the cake, and the perfect way to kick back even further. Thanks Irene!||||While a stay at Marramarra Lodge doesn’t come cheap, the return on investment is impressive. Our weekend getaway has set a new standard in indulgence and we can’t wait to return.

Overall very good. The location is beautiful, food is fantastic. The cabin we stayed in was nice but there are some minor maintenance issues. The service was varied - arrival was great, but we were left with oysters and cheap sparkling wine in our room (as no other guests arrived with us, so the cruise was cancelled), and no one came to take the shells away. The chef is fantastic and food service excellent. However, similar to some other guests, the staff repeatedly forgot or did not communicate that my partner doesn’t drink alcohol. The in room provisions are lacking; there are better instant coffees out there, and the fridge had only cheap sparkling wine, no white or red. When we went to leave, no one communicated with us. We ended up looking around the wharf for our bags and departing boat, until someone yelled out to us from one of the boats. It was a pretty underwhelming farewell. Management were prompt to reply to feedback, which is great. I think Marramarra could be one of the excellent luxury lodges in Australia but there are some things to be improved with regards to service and offerings.

We recently spent 2 nights at this beautiful lodge. It is beautifully positioned on the Hawkesbury River just 45 kilometres from Sydney and where the arrival to Marramarra Lodge is by boat. What a fabulous way to travel. The accomodation was wonderful. And the attention to detail was noted. Lovely cookies in the room, a bar fridge with all your wants and needs. It is so quiet, so peaceful and feels like a long way from anywhere. Lots of sculptures everywhere. The food is really something else whether it was breakfast/lunch or dinner. It was so fresh and all I wanted was the recipes. Massages are also possible.A perfect place to unwind and relax, The Managers Cindy and Jordan are amazing. I would recommend Marramarra Lodge to anyone wanting high end "time out".

So close to Sydney and yet a world away. From the moment you step aboard the boat to take you to the Lodge you can feel your worries drift away. Such a tranquil destination. After a welcoming drink and tour, a well-stocked fridge & delicious snacks await you in your choice of accommodation. This was our second stay, so decided to try the Peninsula Tents as we stayed in a Bungalow last year. Both are amazing and luxurious with nothing to fault or want. You don't need to think about anything except what to have for breakfast or lunch. Plenty to do if you enjoy bush walking, paddling on the Hawkesbury, or simply chilling with a good book. The menu prepared by Jerome is first class, with accompanying wines for each course at lunch & dinner. He's so friendly in sharing his secrets of the kitchen and not what you would expect from a first-class chef. He's simply down to earth. The staff are all friendly and professional, and great for a chat about life in general. The new managers, Jordan & Cindy are wonderful and so helpful. Marramarra is a great place for couples or solos to take time out and recharge. A paradise on our doorstep to escape the rat race for a couple of days.

Can I say that was one of the most if not the most relaxing getaway my Husband and I have had . The atmosphere was relaxing, the accommodation was fantastic and the food was sensational.||The whole team were excellent with Chef Jerome preparing wonderful meals for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and pairing wines with dinner was great. Goulia , Martin & Denise were great in their roles .||I am not sure I want to recommend your lovely Lodge to anyone else , so it doesn’t spoil the serenity. However I must as its too good not to share. We will be back for another visit in the near future|
