Greeted by Sue on arrival, who provided us with a cold refreshing drink and tour. We stayed in the garden room, which is not adjoined to the house. The room was beautifully fresh and clean, with crisp white sheets and a beautiful touch of fresh flowers in vases, the rain shower was also lovely!! Sue was amazingly accommodating, providing aero guard for us when we were enjoying the garden in the afternoon. In the morning Justine cooked an incredible breakfast, with fruit & yoghurt, cereals & milk, hot toast & jam and eggs Benedict with bacon. Overall the stay was amazing and beautifully refreshing. Will definitely stay here again if we are up this way!

This review is of the Garden Studio at Marlow House which we stayed in for two nights. The Garden Studio is seperate to the main house offering a seperate, private spot suitable for a couple. The studio is converted from a seperate garage and offers a cosy retreat. Facilities include a kitchenette (fridge, sink and microwave but no cooktop), a large bathroom including a large shower with rainhead and a bed / sitting room with a lounge and king size bed. Everything a couple needs for a pleasant night or two in a country town including a genorous breakfast hamper is included. For us this even catered for our dietry preferences of no gluten or sugar. This is not a luxury retreat but is a very pleasant country stay.

Location/style/comfort/cleanliness all 9/10.||||Disappointments were:||- no bottle opener (annoying)||- blinds broken and not working (and bedroom looks directly into adjacent house so this needed to be working)||- creature in the ceiling space on last night scratching around (not that big a drama as we were in the country) ||- bbq outside (I assumed was for our use in cottage) was dirty and had cockroaches in it (this wasn’t acceptable) |||| For the price and such a small space I’d have expected none of the above, still if these items were resolved it works have been a 10/10. ||We would come back if above were rectified and price a little lower.
