We always stay on our yearly visit to Darwin at Cullen Bay. We have been coming for over 20 years. Great view and location.

Enjoying my stay so far.
Darwin treated her fans to a fireworks display. After a day of food shopping and exploring, it was good to sit and watch passersby.
The motel has a dedicated housekeeping team and front of house service.
Other than a few minor cosmetic items, the apartment is spacious, clean, well ventilated with 2 air conditioners, a decent fridge, weirdly placed electric stove top, microwave and dryer and top loading washing machine. BYO food and beverages. There is some to buy at reception. Grounds keeper has been around today and did a choice job. Tomorrow I find the pool!

Firstly I am referring to the grey building not the yellow building. Stayed there some time ago, this time as a guest of a friend. First impressions.. walk into reception, have to utilise reception next door, that is okay, understand that. However first impressions were a mattress in the office and looks like linen etc storage. Shabby first image. Public areas are all grubby, ballustrading dirty, areas to units need a good scrub. Pool area... would have been magnificent at some stage. Walk up steps to lap pool, there are masses of mould on front of steps, carpet old worn and dirty. Plunge pool not full cannot swim. Pool fencing dirty. Furniture in room same as my first visit years ago, worn and scruffy and so uncomfortable. Lift needs a good clean. Normally I would not put in a negative but the above things could be rectified... not a good impression for people and definitely affects word of mouth and future thoughts of staying. If these things could be fixed I would come back without hesitation. Views are sensational, it is quiet and pool area could be stunning. Staff were friendly.

I thought we were staying somewhere nice and I thought we were booked into Cullen bay apartments, however was given an apartment in marina view apartments. Old, dated, not serviced like it said on the sign. Gorgeous view! Bed very uncomfortable! Only given a sheet, no doona or blankets! One toilet roll. Stayed 4 nights! Would not recommend or stay again.

Cullen bay is a great location and the restaurants nearby are excellent plus there's an easy to use shuttle bus into the city. ||But the accommodation was tired - lights didn't work - there was dust everywhere and it really was not worth the $260 a night charge. ||There was never anyone at the reception (apart from the day we checked in) any time we wanted anything we had to go next door to the Cullen Bay Apartments - quite frankly we should have stayed there! ||When we checked in to Marina View they refused to give us two keys despite the fact we were going to be working separately in different locations for two days - they said they would have to raise it with management - but didn't. We asked next door - and got two keys! ||WiFi was slow if existent - we had to hotspot. When we raised this with reception they told us it was our computer!

First let me say I DID mention all this to management and was told they would rectify problems.||When I arrived dirty dishes in dishwasher, dust on everything, old uncomfortable furniture, dated property. ||Jackhammering from 8.00am to 4.00pm daily.No mention on website of ongoing works or reduction in price to accommodate this.||Out of 3 pools, the one best suited to doing laps for adults was closed. The toddler pool and 0.9m pool were both open. So if you like to quietly swim laps - forget it.||My friend had the room next door. It had recently been updated, was larger with TV in bedroom. I felt it was unfair I was paying the same price for a substandard.||The manager assured me she would make an adjustment to my account due to issues - still waiting.

I was travelling on business so I had 3 main priorities which the Marina View satisfied well: a) Budget b) Secure parking c) Space to work||The bonus is a quiet location at the Cullen Bay marina a few steps from several good restaurants and overlooking the boats on the water. ||The 1 bed apartment had plenty of room to work with 2 desks in the bedroom and an open living/dining area as well as the kitchenette. The look is dated even though the Ikea furniture wasn't too old. Each apartment is privately owned so your experience may vary. ||Pros: Marina views, secure parking, spacious rooms, moderate rates, close to restaurants, beach and casino. Just 1km out of town - quiet locale, good air conditioning, block out curtains, enough cutlery and crockery.||Cons: Hard to find parking gate if you arrive after 11:00PM close, tired and needing a freshen-up, ugly pool area with odd shallow lap pool and a cold spa, limited reception hours, limited free WiFi, uncomfortable Ikea furniture, no dishwasher, no bug spray, no cable TV movies, limited hot water - shorten your shower! No on site cafe.

We stayed in a self catering 2 bedroom apartment. The apartments were great plenty of room for 2 couples and everything you needed to be self sufficient. Jackie on the front desk just awesome going out of her way to make sure we were reunited with our luggage after being on tour. Would highly recommend.
