Very good. We want to come back. Room was quiet and very clean, and the balcony was great for a quiet evening glass of wine. Location is excellent, convenient to shopping, and good for long walks. The harbour and bay beaches gave variety and were nice and close.

We love staying at Twin Towns Mantra because we really relax and everything we need is there. Great accommodation, fabulous food, excellent entertainment. The beach is across the road and so many places to walk. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are plentiful, as are the shops. We’ve stayed there 7 times in 18 months it’s so good

When we and our friends checked in here, their suite was ready but not ours. So we took our bags up to their suite. It was newly renovated, nice modern appliances and a modern bath with frameless walk-in shower. We were looking forward to seeing the same when we got the keys to our suite (having paid for the exact same class of room). OMG…when we went up to our suite an hour or so later, we were literally stunned by what they’d put us into. It was a wheelchair suite with the toilet, shower and laundry machines all in one big open room with a plastic shower curtain. The fridge was at least 30 years old. What a dump! We were EXTREMELY angry that they’d tried to foist this suite onto us. We immediately marched straight down to reception and demanded that they give us a suite similar to our friends.||After waiting for 25+ minutes while “we’ll see what we can do”, they did put us into another suite with a great ocean view. That suite was not as modern and clean as our friends, but after the almost-nightmare situation, we were fine with it. Our friends soon discovered that their suite looked out on the garbage dumpsters, so they requested a view suite next day and surprisingly were given a nice view suite with similar newly renovated features. ||The king bed was comfortable, so sleep quality was good. We prepared most of our own meals during the week here, and facilities were very much lacking for that. For example, something as simple as salt and pepper? You get the little paper packets like you get at McDonalds. Dish detergent? Little packets of liquid soap that is so weak it doesn’t even bubble up and get soapy. No paper towels; the cutting knives were absolutely as dull as a spoon, just brutal to try to cut bread or fruit. Exactly 4 forks, so we had to continually wash them. ||Our air conditioning started acting up on our 2nd last day, but they did come in on Sunday and get it reset and working again.||Breakfast wasn’t included with our suite, and they wanted a pricey $31 pp. With a grocery store nearby, we did our own breakfasts for probably ¼ of that price. ||In North America, resorts often have BBQ’s for guests to use. This place says they do too, but they certainly aren’t the gas grill BBQ’s that we expected. They are just a large griddle without a lid…not great for doing steaks and certainly no good for things like ribs or chicken legs. No spices or condiments in the suite, so we had to buy all of that. I wonder if the cleaners will leave our spices for the next guest, or just toss it?||The bathroom vanity was okay, enough room for the 2 of us. The shower is old, and the glass was filthy when we arrived in the suite (see picture).||There are a mix of owners and guests in the building, and it seems to be a residence for many very old and wheelchair bound residents. The elevators are very slow, and many times we were faced with only 1 (out of 3) elevators working. ||If I’d known more about this place, I would have given it a pass for accommodation. I think we overpaid for this place, and I would not recommend it to others.

The 3 bedroom apartment I booked vs the 3 bedroom apartment I was given. Extremely disappointed. The photos (as attached) is false advertising. I booked directly through AllAccor. I was given the old apartment. It was extremely run down. I contacted Mantra Twin Towers directly and was offered no compensation. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

The studio room was comfy but would have benefitted greatly from a single arm chair, there was room for one and a dining style seat isn’t always best suited. |The hotel staff were accomodating and my only real problem was that the footprint of the building is so big I was walking the length of a shopping centre to get anywhere.

The shower is ok. Would be nice to see the hot/cold on the shower. As a person who needs glasses I could not see these. The tap was to low to read. The drain had rust. The door did not shut on the shower and could easily move out and allow the water onto the floor. Would have like to see a complimentary shower cap. The location is the reason for the price. Could get into my room a 2:00pm. Tried to collect my keys at 2:15pm. Room still not available. Could have waited until 2:30pm but was offord a room a few floors below the one I had booked. Would have liked to have stayed longer in the morning since we were late into the room. The milk supplied was frozen the next morning as the freezer seemed to having problems. Would recommend this if you like the location. But there are other units still in the vancinty that are cheaper and suppy the same. Nothing to write home about.
