We'd booked in for two nights and lasted one - and only just. The room was sub-standard, dirty and had a bad odour. Thank goodness there was a sliding door that actually opened, so we got some fresh air. The bedroom window was screwed shut, the curtains almost disintegrating in my hand and the bed sagged in the centre. The towels were limp and not fresh. The table was sticky and uninviting. The glasses were filthy. The dishwasher reeked of some kind of foul stench that I refused to open it again. I don't think anyone has seriously cleaned this room for quite some time. The Mantra is located in the back of an industrial complex a long way from cafes, eateries etc. We felt like we were in 'human storage'. This was certainly the worst accommodation experience we've ever had. Don't bother staying here if you value your physical and mental health!

Read some reviews after booking and panicked, but overall the room was ok. Pillows, sheets and bed were clean, bathroom was clean, the aircon worked and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff were friendly and I was able to check in late too which was helpful. The location is handy if you have things to do in the area but can see why getting in via the industrial complex (you enter and do a loop one way past a bunch of businesses to get to the entrance) would be a bit daunting for some people. I did see a bug scuttle when I moved the bed and some dirt and dust behind it so that wasn't great. I let the staff know.

I had a fantastic stay at Mantra Castle Hill! The room was spacious and felt like a true home away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable. The location was perfect—quiet yet close to everything I wanted to explore in Sydney. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort and great service!

Avoid! – Mantra Hotel at Castle Hill - dirty, smelly, untidy, unprofessionally run, and falsely advertised – a bad reflection on the Mantra brand. A shout-out to Bob East, CEO of the Mantra Group in Australia - take a close look at this one - you would not be proud of it!

Firstly, it's hard to locate. The taxi driver had trouble finding the front of the building, which looks nothing like the photo online! Entrance was at what looked more like the back, near industrial units and a car park ... and there was all sorts of rubbish lying around on the ground near the entrance. We arrived after 6pm, wanting dinner – there was none of the usual local area guide brochures in the room, and the person on reception had no idea of nearby places to eat. We queried where the breakfast buffet was and what time it opened – the response: “That room has been closed for a while, the photo is on the website, but there is no breakfast area – there is only a small packet of cereal, but you probably don’t want that!” The lift – horrible musty smell, stains on the floor – cart of dirty laundry left in the hallway. ROOM number 1 – was tiny, stale smelling, with black mold in the bathroom, dirty grout, missing lightbulb over the mirror, none of the complimentary items usually provided in hotels, not even a welcome bottle of water. Cracked, stained coffee cups that we didn’t use, nowhere to sit, bed was cold with minimal covers, flat pillows. We expressed our disappointment the next day and were upgraded without any argument .. it was like they were expecting it!
ROOM number 2 – was larger with a couch, separate bedroom with a king bed and larger bathroom. However, the couch was heavily stained, and there was what looked suspiciously like blood stains on the coffee table – ugh! At least we managed to get the warm air con working, but again, minimal bed covers, flat pillows, ripped curtains and broken rods.
Our key cards deactivated every time we left the room, despite the fact that we kept them away from mobile phones and any other metal object, and had to go all the way down to reception to have them reactivated every time! Room transfer was while we were out, and we had arranged for our luggage to be transferred to the new room, but it had been left in the old room! ... and points have still not landed in my ALL account! Will never book there again - better to pay a bit more for a nicer hotel!

The 2-bedroom apartment was exactly what we needed and quite spacious. The location was really hard to find, and every uber driver needed help to locate, which was frustrating considering there was no breakfast or restaurant on site. The noise of the main road behind the building was significant. Main disappointment was the state of the room - burn marks in the kitchen bench, broken handles on drawers, sliding door locks broken. Won't be staying at Mantra again as was expecting 4 star, and this was pushing 3. Needs a full renovation.

Stayed one night for business, will not stay again! Room was so tiny, bedroom lights didn't work, the toilet was constantly running had to turn off the water just to try to sleep. Bed was horrible, sounded broken trying to get out and kept rolling onto my partner it was that stuffed. No blanket and very poorly cleaned! Our co-workers had very similar feedback and one even had a very expensive belt stolen from their room. Definitely lost our business!

Biggest issue is that I booked using the All Accor App and paid extra for Breakfast to be included with the only issue being that the Breakfast Room is no longer functional and that Breakfast is no longer offered. Seems strange to be 'upgraded' to a 2 bedroom apartment when you are booked as a single person. Requested an invoice to be emailed 4 days ago and still waiting for a copy. Good location if you are doing business in the area. Seems I am unlucky with lifts as this premises had tape over the top floor button - not ideal. Room was clean but lounge has heavy staining.

The room was very dirty and worn down. Very bad odour in the room, however the bed linen and towels were clean. Did the job for the night but very overpriced for the product.
