Manta is in serious need of a facility upgrade. We had 20 people over at the fifth floor and the elevator stopped working for the second time in the last couple of months. The coffee machine didn't work, the stove top never got hot enough to boil water, there is something wrong with the micro wave, the windows need work, the spa isn't hot and small but annoying, the cooking knife was blunt.

The views are perfect. We even saw whales. The staff did everything in their power to help with the facility failures. We had no problem with them. The town is very nice.

Pool and spa are great annd the hotel has a good view of the rock beach. Our room on the 4th floor had so many HUGE cockroaches. And bathrooms stunk.

The jury is out! Maybe overpriced for the unit we had. Open bathroom with little personal privacy was a little unsettling. Pool and spa were uninviting and were grubby.|Underground secure parking and easy access to the lift was a positive. Proximity close to weekend highlight - whale watching!

Stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment in the back tower. Umm, the ensuite toilet connected to the main bedroom has no doors. I don't mean glass doors or see through doors or anything like that... I mean literally. No. Doors. If you're not totally down for the sights, smells and sounds of your partner taking a poop near your bed, either you can't use the ensuite bathroom for that purpose or your partner has to leave the bedroom.

Lots of other minor issues, like the balcony sliding doors not shutting fully, or having to schlep all your luggage up the stairs (this was at least mentioned when booking, so no points docked for it).

It's otherwise a decent apartment for a reasonable price, but really... who designs these?

They were able to accommodate our 3 couples and 2 singles in adjoining apartments, with great sea views and easy walking distance to shops and pub.

Great views but hardly counts as 5-star if it doesnt have a working lift, forcing guests to use a fire escape that is so steep that a size 9 shoe overhangs the step.

It's a very long time since this was ever a 5 Star as per the brochure in the room. The Televisions or flat screens we fine they did their job the one in the bedroom sometimes had difficulty with local television, the one in the main room used a Foxtel box so no rear problems. Looked clean and tidy but on closer inspection there were some concerns. The managers really probably need to re-think why they are there, clearly they have not been into this room. When challenged they accused my partner who works in health as being a very rude person. I personally have never heard him be rude only have a sensible respectable conversation.
