The interior was very authentic looking, we sat inside and started with guacamole and tortilla chips, which were great. The tortillas were light and crispy, and there was a generous serving of guac and sour cream—though we could’ve used a few more chips to go with it. Had to get fish tacos which were delicious, with a beautifully fine and flavorful crumb coating on the fish, complemented by the refreshing pineapple and cucumber. The tostadas were large and crispy, topped with flavorful chorizo that paired perfectly with the refried beans, lettuce, sour cream, and coriander. We also tried sopes for the first time, and I really enjoyed the variety - three different types to sample. The base was thick yet soft, almost like a potato patty, which was an interesting and satisfying texture. To wash it all down, I paired the meal with a watermelon margarita, which was light, fresh, and refreshing. Overall, the food and prices were good but we thought the dishes lacked a bit of flavour and spices. We were inside and it was very hot, I recommend asking to be seated out the back with a breeze and a bit more atmosphere.

Everything was amazing. I got cafe de olla, sopes, and tacos al pastor. I really enjoyed the mexican flavor which is certainly on them. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful experience there, the best nachos and empanadas that I have tried in Queensland. Also the chef understood our order which was ready very quickly. In addition We could recommend the sunset mocktail without a doubt so delicious. Finally we could feel in a Mexican restaurant thankful its atmosphere and music.

Coolest restaurant in Brisbane. Sure it looks a little tacky from the outside, but it’s very authentic and has extremely good service and the food could not have taste better. If you are contemplating going, I would definitely recommend trying it out. I loved it.

After putting the call out for some feedback on FB for patrons of MDL, I got 90% positive reviews, so I figured I'd have to try this place myself. The location is great in the Village of Wilston, but parking around there can be a bit sparse. The ambience is nice, quite authentically Mexican with bright vibrant colours. The waiter was nice but a little quiet and it was difficult to hear his responses. The food was GREAT. We all enjoyed our meals and it is definitely authentic Mexican and not the Americanised Tex Mex. Would definitely recommend the Huarache. The cocktails were good too. 4 and a half stars!

While their cafe is closed, I am glad they still have this restaurant. Love the food. The closest thing to authentic Mexican I’ve had in Australia (as someone who grew up in Mexico). We have taken friends here and they all loved it too.

This was one of the loveliest places we've been to in the longest time. The food was so delicious and authentic and the service was so wonderful. We came here for my Partners birthday and bought our own cake with us. The staff were so lovely as to bring out the cake with their own candle and added their own touch of churros to the plate. You can tell their kindness and pride in their business was so genuine. We will definitely be back 😊
