Deb is the loveliest, most divine human being and the most exceptional celebrant. She put together the most heartfelt, beautiful ceremony. She included so many special touches that meant so much to us. She was there with us every step of the way, checking in regularly and made the whole process so simple and easy. She gave us the best advice and helpful tips for writing our vows/wedding run sheets and all the many things we just hadn’t thought of!
She went above and beyond, our photographer had to pull out a few months prior to our wedding and Deb sourced us another photographer at the last minute, there is nothing this woman can’t do!

Debi was amazing! We met her at a Sunshine Coast wedding expo and liked her instantly. She has the ability to make you feel comfortable, which really mattered to me and my now husband, on such an important day of our lives. Our first introduction with Debi was by receiving the most beautiful and comforting audio message, introducing herself and immediately addressing the concerns that we had raised about our former celebrant that we had to fire. From the moment we received the first message from her we felt a complete sense of relief; there was an instant connection, just from the way she carried herself and the sound of her voice. In the beginning stages of our meeting each other, Debi was so sincere for us to be totally sure when making the decision about whether or not we felt like she was the right fit; fortunately, we already knew she was the right person for us.

Our first meeting was an amazing zoom call (due to distance); we got to sit on our lounge, with our special little boys (our dogs), and get to know her one on one. It was during this time that Debi got to meet our special boys, and it was pretty much from that moment that she became Aunty Debi to them. Following our meeting with her, follow through, prompt communication and delivering on what was promised was almost instantaneous. I actually remember receiving the first email not 40-mins after our meeting, turning to my future husband (at the time) and saying “this is this kind of service that I expect”; the comparison from our former celebrant to Debi was absolutely night and day. Every single step of the way, Debi explained each aspect of what was going to happen, how it was going to happen, and when it was going to happen. After sealing the deal with Debi, we received all of our documentation, which was meticulously prepared and explained in detail. We received a personalised timeline showing us what was due, when it was due, and who was responsible for a specific task; this made us feel so comforted, knowing that she was being entirely transparent and openly demonstrating her own accountability.

Our first visit with her in person was just perfect; she was so excited to incorporate all the special rituals that we wanted to include and was able to offer sound recommendations and advice that assisted us greatly in making the occasion just that bit more special. It was such an added treat to be able to view all the beautiful outfits that Debi had in her collection and be afforded the opportunity to choose what we felt comfortable with and what we, ourselves, thought would look the best for our ceremony; that touch was just above and beyond.

Debi delivered on all of her promises, not just on schedule, but often way ahead of schedule…When she has questions or needed to update us, there was no snooty, professional, stock standard email, it was a personal voice message from her, keeping us apprised and consistently reassuring us every single step of the way.

Then came a speed bump for us on our wedding journey…we were having a very hard time with the owner of the chapel we were to be married at. We were experiencing poor communication, no follow through on promises, no feelings of value as a client. We turned to the person we trusted the most, Debi. She was so supportive and so comforting; she offered us measured advice on how to the handle the situation. More importantly, she assured us that all would be well with her in charge of our ceremony (she even provided us a contingency plan should the worst happen, and we need to pull the plug).

So, the day was magical, it was exactly what we wanted, and with Debi at the helm, our day was the most unforgettable experience. Aidan and I have already decided (although she doesn’t know this yet), that we are going to renew our wows with Debi at Magnolia Lakehouse on our 10th wedding anniversary.

Debi became more than just a celebrant, she became our cheerlead, our manager, our receptionist, our counsellor, our fashion advisor, our interior designer, our confidant…..bust most important she became a friend….she became family. She was one of those people who did not come into our lives for a reason or a season….but for a lifetime, and we will always be indebted to her for making our wedding as spectacular as it was.
