We recently celebrated our wedding at Maddies of Bolwarra, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Alison was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to help us with every detail in the planning process. The house is charming, and the gardens are even more spectacular – the perfect backdrop for our special day!

The food was absolutely delicious, and we received so many compliments from our guests on how wonderful everything tasted. One of the best parts was that Maddies is dog-friendly, so our baby boy Peanut could be there with us, and he had a wonderful time as well! We were taken care of extremely well, and I can’t recommend Maddies of Bolwarra enough for anyone looking for a beautiful and welcoming venue. Thank you, Alison, for making our day unforgettable!

We only had a 1 night stay as we came down to attend a wedding. Place is nice in a quiet location. Parking on site and property is very clean. Room was available earlier than check in as per request. Alison was very accommodating. The room was very spacious and clean. We had everything we needed. There was also tea and coffee available in common area.
Breakfast included and consisted in home made sweets and hot breakfast.
Overall we had a great time, garden has a relaxing feel and will definitely be back.
Very friendly owner and staff. Felt very welcomed.

Netty. Was. Here. I had the pleasure of dealing with Alison to book a room for family members visiting the area. The room was fantastic, cozy spacious and well designed. I attended the following morning for breakfast which was set up beautifully in the dining room. So many options provided. I think this place will be the family staycation spot for the future. Thank You Alison for looking after my Dad and I last weekend.

I treated myself for a night, on my way back from a workshop. Communication was amazing. Check-in was easy, complete privacy and super quiet.||The room has been furnished to give you a sense of total relaxation and a big warm hug. The bed was super comfortable and I had an amazing night sleep. ||Farm, more than I could eat an absolutely delicious. The fruit was incredibly fresh, and I was spoilt for choice. |||I live locally and stayed there for a night as my husband was away and my 22-year-old son had his mates over. |Was the perfect overnigher.

Wonderful retreat, highly recommend

My partner surprised me with a trip out here when I arrived back on my flight.

We were met by Alison, our lovely hostess, who was very friendly and helpful. She offered us tea, coffee, and cake, which we gladly accepted.

Our room was beautifully cool (air-con) and so comfortable. The bed was the perfect amount of soft, with comfy covers and pillowy pillows and the bathroom was lovely - full bathtub with foam supplied, beautiful old-time aesthetic.

The garden is incredible, so beautiful, and low-key would be really nice for a wedding in the future. The garden surrounds the property and really helps you to feel comfortable and away from the cares of the world. A beautiful break from stress with the girl I love.

We also had breakfast provided, which was absolutely delicious - croissants, fruit, freshly baked bread from a local bakery, absolutely delicious on a summer morning.

I had a fantastic time, and would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a weekend away with someone special to them.

To my girlfriend (if she’s reading this, she often reads my google reviews) thank you for such a special time away together. I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful partner, you make me smile and I can’t wait to spend more time with you. This was so special, I’m a very lucky man.

It takes a special personality and work ethic to run an excellent B&B and Alison certainly ticks all the boxes. We stayed this last weekend for our wedding anniversary weekend and we enjoyed every moment at Maddie’s of Bolwarra. I felt at home, comfortable and very relaxed. The features of this historic home is oozing with country charm, super comfortable, warm and inviting! We brought our dog Chewy and stayed in the Paterson Room with an ensuite, seperate lounge and balcony where we enjoyed afternoon tea the day we arrived. The Room and house in general was just beautifully decorated in keeping with the mid-late 1900s furnished pieces mixed in with modern comfort. The breakfast is outstanding, and Alison is the perfect host, conversationalist and just a lovely and down to earth person! Her team are very helpful even providing a comprehensive list of dining recommendation, so we will definitely be back to stay again and to quote my husband “Maddies is one of the best B&B breakfast feasts we’ve ever experienced, we’ll come to stay again just for that”. We highly recommend Alison and her beautiful B&B offering. Make sure to check out the little gift/op shop in the small cafe shed, there’s gorgeous little nic-nacs, local products and gift ideas to take back home! Thank you again Alison and team.

We stayed at Maddies for 3 nights with our pup. Alison and all staff were extremely accommodating and kind. The gardens were so well cared for and beautiful, the house and rooms were warm and cozy. I haven’t felt pure peace and relaxation like this before! Do stay!

What a refreshing change from hotels. Staying at Maddie’s was like staying with one of your family in their wonderful old home. Nothing was too much trouble for Alison and her friendly staff and there were many thoughtful touches /inclusions in the beautifully clean room. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully presented.
