I ordered the Loaded Smoked Bomb. The meat was cooked but served cold but the potato part of the meal was hot so I guess it was just a timing issue in the kitchen and that keeping the meat warm while waiting for the potato was not an option. The brisket was super-compressed. As if who ever pressed the brisket meat together was really trying to make a brick. I left half the brisket and ate as much of every thing else. Service was good. Lots of customers while I was there and the staff seemed to handle it very well.

Lovely old style pub.
TAB area and dining room beautiful. Tasty food. I had smoked lamb shanks with garlic mash and seasonal veggies.

Did not stay at hotel only called in to have lunch with a friend.
The meals were great , best chicken parmigiana I've had in years. My friend had a steak and said it was fabulous.

My friend and I went there for lunch, the salad was limp and looked like it had been sitting on the bench all morning, asked for a naked salad, when it came therewas dressing on it. The chips and fish were cold. When we ordered our meal we asked for 2 x cappuccino, asked if we would like it before the meal, advised yes we asked 3 x for our cappuccino, finished up leaving after waiting three quarters of an hour after the meal without getting the cappuccino. Won't be going back in a hurry.

What a great pub, good food options and enough beers to be interesting. The service was efficient and friendly which rally lifted the vibe. I really loved the fire pit.

Excellent onion rings! We looked at the Star Hotel on the river and said Nah! Macksville Hotel was modern, clean and had a good menu.

We had the fish. Cooked to perfection. Great friendly service. The open fire pit was the icing on the cake. We will be back
