If you’re looking for a no frills motel, this is it. ||There was no fan, no phone. 1 set of cutlery per person. 1 very poor quality pillow each and one very light weight blanket which was useless. ||It was reasonably clean and tidy, however there was quite a large build up mould in the shower. The room stunk of overpowering sickly cleaning products which meant we had to freeze all night with the window open listen to a neighbouring dog that howled and whimpered all night. ||The bed was so ridiculously hard/firm, that it was next to impossible to roll over. ||We definitely wouldn’t stay here again

Naomi was absolutely wonderful, I was stuck with myself and 2 kids travelling up to Townsville ... the place I originally booked at Parkhurst had somehow "lost" my booking.. Naomi was wonderful, so accommodating and considerate. Would highly recommend staying there any day..

I’ve stayed here 3 times in the past 6 to 8 weeks and can’t fault it. The rooms, the customer service, the price and location put this place well above the standard. It’s quiet, clean, friendly and the owners/managers go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The wifi is excellent. I highly recommend Mackay Motor Inn if you are ever travelling to Mackay.

Mackay Motor Inn has just avout everything that you need, and nothing that you don't. Really great value for money. My only gripe is that I paid extra for a "self-contained" room, which only meant they provide an electric frying pan from K-Mart, book a cheaper room and buy a gas stove with your savings.

My daughter had a long term stay while on placement at the Base Hospital. She felt safe and loved her room which was fully self contained, clean and serviced weekly. Naomi went out of her way to make her feel at home and even offered her personal bike should she ever need it. The motel was within walking distance to the IGA, a local gym, the botanical gardens, great coffee shops and Parkrun. |Thank you for her wonderful stay.
