It's always a dining delight when we go to Lucia's. We had a gorgeous Christmas Day luncheon here in 23' and a few weeks ago we finally got back there for a long lunch. They've got some great specials if you can't afford full on fine dining, and if you like your oysters they still have a great Friday lunch promotion for those.

We went to Lucia’s for the first time tonight for our anniversary. The food was amazing and the service spectacular! We had one of the platters to share and we were more than satisfied, everything cooked to perfection. The team working tonight were very attentive, yet gave you space so you didn’t feel like they were on top of you all the time. Would definitely recommend Lucia’s and will certainly be back.

We had a business dinner here with a small group. The standout was the fresh oysters but it went downhill from there. I ordered the $75 Morton bay bugs that came with rice and bisque. The bugs were inconsistently cooked in fact one was partially raw. The rice was dry cold and old, and I couldn’t find any bisque. It was flavourless and boring. A colleague ordered the chicken which was served cold and the gnocchi was gluggy. I expected more but was left very disappointed.

It’s only half full but the noise level is terrible, deafening. The food was nice once we got it and the kitchen presented 2 plates a second time, after sending them back because they’d left out some of the garnish but second time, the pasta was not cooked properly. We only waited 40 minutes for the two main courses of 6 to be re-delivered. The wait staff were nice and were very apologetic, but the noise was shocking as patrons on other tables yelled over each other. One of the deserts we ordered 2hrs 40 minutes ago is now not available?!? Very disappointing!
All round a disappointment.

My husband and I had our wedding hosted at Lucia’s by the sea July 2024 , what can I say wow the staff went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations.

All the guest were amazed how fantastic the food was so tasty and fresh!
All the staff were all smiles around and so helpful on the day! Also the Owner was always polite when coming in to discuss styling , menu etc.

Ava was the event coordinator and was helping myself from planning the event to being there on the day she is nothing but amazing & always responded very fast with communication.

The value for money was excellent

The MC on the day Rob he was just so lovely!

Thankyou Lucia’s for making out Wedding day one to remember you guys are the ultimate dream team.

Terrible service. We were basically left unattended. Had to ask for drinks. Mains took ages. Junior, unqualified staff. The restaurant was half empty. Food was lovely once we got it although the fries were dry and tasteless. We were compensated but would rather have had an enjoyable dining experience. Such a shame as we are locals but definitely will not be returning. I would like to add that the interior is dated and is basically a dining space with no character. The only access from what i could see is a steep staircase. And now this restaurant is attacking me for my poor review. This was my wife's 60th birthday. Staff were running around trying to appease tables of drunken, noisy diners and we were left to ourselves

Had work Christmas lunch yesterday and it was a lovely experience. Food and drinks were delicious and everything arrived very quickly, service was very attentive and friendly, couldn’t criticise anything. Really loved their arancini balls. Definitely one of the best restaurant in Wollongong at the moment and exceeded my expectations.

The food and prices are excellent but the service, although very friendly is lacking and inefficient. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks, wine and water to be delivered. It feels more like an event location that opens to public when it suits. Shame, as we have recently moved to the area and were hoping this would be a regular.
