Beautiful period home, comfortable and had everything that we wanted for our 2 night stay. Roger was a wonderful host and created a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Great continental breakfast with gluten free options and the choice of a cooked breakfast for a small fee. There were complimentary drinks such as wine, soft drinks and port.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return and recommend to others.

Roger is the perfect host, always on the lookout for ways to make your stay even better while not being intrusive. He is ably assisted by Lou, the gorgeous and very friendly greyhound who we also miss after a three night stay.

Lorelei is a large, old but extremely comfortable early doctor's residence. Bathrooms are ensuite while there is a large shared sitting room with open fire. Opposite is the breakfast room with a warming firebox and excellent continental breakfast Inc toast included in the tariff (cooked breakfast for a small extra charge). There is a supply of free wine beer and soft drinks and the WiFi is twice the speed we have in our home!

We visited during the cold winter months but were never short of heat. If we lived closer to Portland we would be back in a heartbeat - this was a great find.

Loved my three nights at this delightful bnb. Good location. Charming period-furnished rooms with comfortable beds, good hot showers/baths and all amenities I could need. Open fires in the cosy lounge. Hot breakfast for only $10 extra. Friendly and easy-to-chat-to host. Cute but not invasive dog. Highly recommended.

This is a perfect place to stay in Portland. From the first impression as you walk into the warm and inviting reception, You are then met by the Host and shown around the property and to your room. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed TV with foxtel and other apps, WIFI, bar fridge to store drinks, desk, aircon and room heater, very bright lights and multiple lamps for mood lighting. The ensuite bathroom was well appointed and had a standup shower and SPA BATH. The host made us breakfast to our order and the coffee MACHINE with beautiful and strong coffee. Lots of fresh fruit and juice, milk, water bottles and anything you may need to start the day. The property was quiet, spacious, lots of lounge and dining seats to spread out, the dining room had a very warm Wood fired Heater, keeping the DR and Lounge lovely and warm. Our host offered a late checkout and the opti to stay all day in the lounge area if we needed. Perfect BNB with a very accomodating host who will help with local knowledge and things to do in Portland.

A premium quality authentic B&B experience in a delightful century old country home of wonderful character. Great hospitality provided by Roger and Lou. All our needs were anticipated and provided for. Opposite of the minimum cost bland service most hotels are providing.

A really wonderful place to escape for a few days. Roger is a great host in his beautiful home, providing anything you might need at any time. The house is close to all facilities.
The rooms are excellent and very spacious. The fire is a bonus and burning all the time, great with the cooler weather.

An unexpected and wonderful experience staying here on our journey. The property is tucked away on a corner of two streets behind trees and bushes but within lies the most amazing period home, with wooden floors and panelling, high ceilings and log fires. Our host Roger is both knowledgeable and attentive and made our stay a real experience. We saw plenty of wildlife nearby (both koalas and wallabies) and enjoyed a sound night’s sleep. I would definitely recommend this gem of a place - out of the ordinary and very pleasant.
