Saw this spot driving past on the highway, and decided to pop in and check out their banh mi.

Got the classic pork. The bread was nice and crispy while still being fresh. The carrot was also fresh and delicious. I picked off the coriander because I fear I am one of those people who do not like it 💔 (my mother liked it however). I loved the shallot/spring onion, they were very generous with the amount of spring onion they put on which brought me great joy. There was also a cucumber inside, and again it was fresh and delicious.

The actual pork was delicious. The cuts of meat were easy to bite through, which is an issue I’ve had at other bakeries where I’d tried to bite and then it wouldn’t break off leaving me to try and awkwardly rip it out of my mouth.

I chose to get chilli on my pork roll, which was very nice. At other places the chilli sometimes doesn’t taste good, however here it was very nice and delicious.

Overall, this pork roll was delicious with a generous portion for the price point. Would recommend you try if you’re feeling peckish and driving through blaxland! There is a range of options to choose from, not just the classic pork, as well as fresh pies and sweet pastries.

Located on the Highway up to Katoomba with ample rear parking. A traditional Vietnamese run bakery offering bahn mi pork rolls for only $6.50. A chicken roll is $7.50 with a generous serve of poached chicken slices. Also making traditional milkshakes $5.50 and thick shakes $6.50. A good range of tarts, slices and pies that’ll bring a smile to everyone’s face. Take away or dine in.

The Salad roll was very poor.
The amount of ingredients was patetic and definitley Not worth the $6.

Some of the best pies anywhere, with great coffee, rolls and Danish pastries. I sometimes travel from Western Australia to visit here!

Strong coffee and more than reasonable prices. Store’s appearance disguises the owner/staff’s devotion to their craft. Great taste at low prices

Staff are always friendly and very organised quick service. Sandwiches are a great price and deliscious on their extra soft but crusty rolls. Potato pies, usually with chopped up steak and served with a fork and cheese and spinach rolls are very tasty. I also like the lamingtons, different cheesecake styles, vanilla slices. The bread rolls are softer than the average bakery and have sesame seeds. You can buy 10 donuts for the same price as one from Dollies donuts.

I'm always on the hunt for bahn mi places, i was very shocked to have found a bakery that makes it across from the train station in blaxland with its humbling appearance and quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

The pate' is my favorite part in a bahn mi, very flavoursome, but when you add mayo it takes the flavour to another level. Bread is crunchy and soft when taking a bite, the meat and vegie filling is also delicious.

You can never go wrong with a humbling original pork roll

7.5/10 in my books, I come here everytime i have work.
