I bought an acai bowl and a sparkling water, and while waiting for my order, I noticed the water bottle was already opened. I flagged it straight away—literally within 20 seconds—but the assistant’s reaction made me feel like I was being accused of trying to scam them. Seriously?

I get that running a business isn’t easy, but good customer service is critical. Experiences like this lead to bad reviews, which can hurt the business in the long run. No wonder productivity and service standards in this country feel like they’re slipping. Respecting customers and handling things properly isn’t hard, and it makes all the difference.

Happy, Busy, and Popular place where the locals & visitors are welcome. Service from the counter with lots of seating for meals. You can get a big coffee with 3 shots in it or if you are after a protein meal there is that as well. Good service at any time of the week. Deserves a try any time !

This used to be our favourite cafe and we haven’t been for awhile, but we came to get our favourite smoothie. Both my partner and my smoothie was luke warm as the milk had obviously been sitting out. When I went back to return it the girls behind the counter couldn’t figure out why it was warm and then chucked an ice cube in and said “there you go. Sorry”. Even then it was still warm.
You’ve lost two valuable customers I will certainly never order anything from here in 2024. Absolutely disgusting.

Friendly staff, nice sitting area close to point danger. It gets really busy in the morning so may be hard to find seating but it's definitely worth a stop for breakfast on the way to the point danger lookout or the beach. Would be nice if they had an alternative protein like smoked salmon instead of just bacon.

I’ve been to this café a few times, and up until now, I’ve always been impressed. The service has been friendly, and the meals were consistently delicious. It was my go-to spot for a quick and satisfying breakfast. However, my experience last Friday was deeply disappointing.

I was working nearby and decided to treat myself to breakfast. I ordered a breaky burger (without bacon), juice from the fridge, and a carrot cake to snack on while waiting. Unfortunately, when I bit into the carrot cake, it tasted off. Upon inspection, I was horrified that the bottom was completely covered in green mould and furry growths. It was disgusting and made me gag.

I immediately returned it and showed it to the staff. While they offered to replace it, I declined and asked for a refund instead—I didn’t want to risk another one. Serving mouldy food is a serious health hazard, and it’s alarming that it wasn’t checked before being sold. To make matters worse, I noticed other slices of carrot cake on the tray, raising concerns that other customers might have been served from the same batch.

This experience has made me lose trust in their food safety practices. I hope they take this as a wake-up call and improve their quality control to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

The two stars are for the deceptive weekend pricing. I went to Little Mali yesterday and ordered the following off the large menu displayed in the shop: an acai bowl ($15.5) with peanut butter ($1) and a juice ($11)= total: $27.50 I realised I’d been overcharged ($32.20), I’m not a penny pincher but it was close to $5 so I just want to check to see how that happened. I asked the girl who originally served me and she said there is an up charge on menu items on the weekend. This information isn’t displayed or communicated to customers. I was really surprised this cafe thought this is an acceptable way to treat customers. So my acai bowl was actually $17.50, peanut butter was $2.50 ? and juice was $12.50. It really pissed me off that they are basically displaying one price and charging another. So that’s it for me, no more Little Mali.
