Came here early morning. The ice coffee was amazing! The best.

I had the felic brekkie roll. Was huge. I highly recommend sharing it.

My friend had avo on toast with a side of bacon.

When we arrived and throughout the dining experience the cafe wasn't full maybe half. We got our coffee within 15mins of ordering but when the time hit 34mins (shown via payment app on phone) we had to ask the timeframe for food. We were told another 10mins or we can have a refund, which we thought was an odd response, we then went onto the reviews and saw that long wait times were a common occurrence. We waited another 15mins and asked to have one item refunded as i'd lost my appetite but the rolls arrived. I couldn't even eat the half I cut for myself and on one part of the roll I had to spit it into the napkin, the bacon was cooked to hardness, the cheese was not enjoyable and the relish was pitiful and I don't feel like the avocado was ripe as it was firm to chew. We then promptly left the cafe as the extra time we had allocated ourselves to get to a booking was lost waiting for food. The iced caramel latte was enjoyable but not the food for the price I don't feel $20 for the deluxe bacon and egg roll is worth the price or the wait time. And I'm sorry to the owner who might perceive this as an attack and says I should've spoken up but at the point of the long wait time and reading past responses I don't feel like reviews that aren't 5 stars are responded too in a defensive manner. If you don't like my review just ignore it then. But reviews good or bad are part and parcel, I only review when it's necessary to call out good service and poor service.

(Response - while that is a very kind gesture, I live 2 hrs away in a small township and this was my 2nd visit to Newcastle, thank you for the offer of a refund of the breakfast food I won't be in the area for sometime. When I'm in the area next I will consider trying again.I hope after your busy day from the events your evening is relaxing for you.)

Came in from holidays the other day and got a burger after walking past the shop, seemed to have a great store and was welcomed in and told the days specials and such, I ordered a burger and was pleasantly surprised by the care put into the meal as well as the great taste and freshness. Decided I’ll come back as it’s my last day here and had the same quality and care met with my meal again. Amazing spot situated right by the beach and has a great quality place. The food is definitely the highlight the most, you can taste it is made with care and not just food put out to order, I highly recommend stopping by especially if you are attending the beach or nearby landmarks. 100 stars, good on you legends

Sometimes all you want is great burger with a view of the ocean and the breeze blowing in. I happened on this cosy old school vibes diner/cafe while stuck overnight in Newcastle. The super friendly owner was happy to cook me a burger even though lunch hadn’t started yet and threw in fries for free! The very generously portioned and reasonably priced burger was delicious and the fries golden and crunchy - really hit the spot. I’d recommend this place for people wanting a change from hipster cafes (not that there’s anything wrong with them either).

A fantastic local spot with friendly staff and a great vibe! Delicious coffees and menu. You can really make yourself at home here, relax and enjoy yourself.
An easy 5 stars! Highly recommended.

Probably the best experience I have ever had in a cafe. Food was absolutely immaculate, the staff were so incredible. They had an issue with the eftpos machine, but were pretty calm and collected and sorted it out asap.

The Chef with the dark red hair was amazing, i was undecided between avo toast and eggs benny, and when i told her how much i love the hollandaise she made me a half and half!

Will definitely be coming back, and bringing my girlfriends.

I went for a run into Newcastle on the train and I got to ride on the tram at the end of the stop. I walked up to Beach and there was liquid gold Beach cafe I ordered some lunch. I had American burger with fries and I had a beer The burger was lovely. The fries was the right size and they were so nice. I would highly recommend calling in to the liquid gold Beach cafe
