Have eaten here many times and enjoyed the meals and thought the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, last night I ordered the prawn pasta at $28. To pay that and only get 4 prawns in the entire dish was disappointing and so unlike the hotel. Not sure if there is a new chef and they are penny pinching but we eat out alot and would now reconsider eating elsewhere.
I recently had a prawn linguine at other restaurant and the prawns in the dish were plentiful.

I will say the bar staff and friendly and helpful.

Friends ordered seafood pizza with no real flavour and undercooked base. The regular chicken schnitzels have halved in size and mostly crumb although there is an option for a large schnitzel that costs extra. Paying restaurant prices for pub food that is very average is very off putting. Another friend ordered prawn pasta for $28 that had 4 prawns, 5 spinach leaves and no pasta sauce or flavour. Reef fish on the menu but no fish for weeks? Not sure why it is on the menu I will say the rack of ribs looked really good ($38). The service is good I just hope the kitchen improves as it use to be really good..... put off from going there for a while.

Yummy food, reasonable price with big portion, which is suitable for family meal.
Chicken and steak are tender and juicy. Fries are big, thick and crispy. Thai beef salad tastes interesting and is a must-try.

Went for a meal in the beer garden on Saturday night with friends and our dog 🐕. The service was courteous even though it was quite busy and meals were brought out promptly. The portions were quite large, and the food was cooked to perfection and delicious. The prices were also very reasonable. Would recommend a meal and a coldie there when in Burnett Heads.

Have tried the new menu twice now and both times poor 😢 on a " handmade" pizza I was not able to add a topping, it was made clear I would pay extra, something is not right in the kitchen.

The pub has cold beer and fantastic food. (Not pub grub) a great menu and the staff are happy, friendly and helpful. We ate a few evening meals there. Even on a busy weekend we didn’t have to wait to long for meals to arrive. Would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic food in generous sizes! Highly recommend the Warm Pork Belly & Scallop Salad along with the Karage Chicken Salad. Ice cold tap beer and super friendly staff.
