Nice quiet and clean camp situated opposite the beautiful Bells Parade Park, where you can amble along the riverside or do one of the several longer walking tracks. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

I camped in my tent in the free-range camping area, which is flat and well-grassed, and with few guests (the powered van sites looked pretty full). The location is lovely, on the edge of town and close to the river, but only a short walk along a landscaped path to the main street. Latrobe is a very pretty small town with cafes and shops - and they seem to specialise in yarn, so a good stop if you are a knitter! The welcome was friendly, the bathrooms basic but clean, and I didn't use the camp kitchen but it looked clean and well arranged. An easy spot to stop on the way to or from the ferry.

Drive through sites are fantastic, drive in straight away from the spirit. Great location, wonderful helpful staff. If you're too precious to step over the wildlife droppings I feel sorry for you 😪. Management do a very good job.

A great place for us. We were accepted in very early morning after disembarking from the big red boat ( prearrarnged). Grassy sites, friendly staff. They even cleaned up the wallaby poo each day from the night before influx. Spent 3 nights. Quiet well kept, facilities aged but well kept and very clean. Plenty of washing machines.

Good, clean and friendly caravan park near the Spirit of Tasmania ferry. Great location across the road from the river and easy walk into town. Also across the road is an Australian Big Thing - The Big Platypus.

The facilities at Mersey Caravan Park are poorly maintained. The showers are not clean, and most of the washing machines and dryers are out of order. The few that work do not clean properly, and there is no option for hot water. The unpowered sites are also in bad condition.

It’s just a standard caravan park. Can’t comment on the cabins. The facilities are really basic. I wouldn’t recommend unless you are desperate like we were.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The amenities were OK and staff do their best to keep it tidy. Location is great being across to a beautiful park and river access across the road. Great swimming on the river and awesome picnic areas. Walking distance to the town with nice shops and cafes to wonder around.
Also walking distance to the Australian Axeman's hall of fame.
