I'm glad we had our wedding here. Highly recommended. The staff were very professional and very prompt in responding to any questions that we had. They were very helpful to our guests.

The coordinators, Irene, Isabella, Jasmine and Anju, helped us from the beginning. They were very welcoming and generous when we first inspected the venue and explained in a lot of details on how they organise the event.

The food was great. There are a lot of options. The portions were just right, and no one had any complaints about the taste.

Isabella & Irene were very easy to communicate. They guided us out throughout the wedding. We're very thankful and grateful. We had a great night and also our guest.

Anju was so accomodating! She always check us throughout the night if we are okay. Also, the staff and DJ! And wow the food was delicious!

My husband was the one who suggested Dockside/L'Aqua for our reception, and as soon as we walked in for the site visit we were pretty much sold on having our reception here. The Gold Room is a beautiful and unique space that was perfect for our guest numbers. Watching the Darling Harbour fireworks from the Room's balcony was a memorable experience for guests (especially those from.interstate and overseas) and made for great photos. The package they offered was great value with the inclusion of a DJ (who set the vibe for our night and got guests up and dancing once formalities were over) and we could even supply our own spirits.

From the start, L'Aqua were so easy to deal with. Julia answered all our initial questions, and Irene, our Venue coordinator, was really helpful and accommodating even with our last-minute requests! I found the venue to be flexible, and staff on the night were really attentive to all. A huge shoutout to Anju (venue manager) for being so welcoming and friendly - my husband and I really appreciated it ? The food was tasty, nicely presented, and portions were abundant - no one left hungry that's for sure. A lot of guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food, fireworks, and the beautiful space.

I highly recommend the Dockside Group and their venue spaces to anyone looking to celebrate an occasion!

THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THE VENUE WAS THE MOCKTAILS

Went to this venue for year 10 formal and the overall experience was not the best. The food was mediocre, the entree and pannacotta dessert being the only decent plates served. The mains were not up to par for a venue charging 90-something dollars for the evening. The risotto was much too sweet and the accompanying sweet potato was too soft. The chicken was dry and not flavorful. Other than the food, the staff were rude and uninterested. They gave us our plates like they wanted to be anywhere but in the room with us, and the randomization what we got lead those with dietary requirements often not getting the appropriate food. The manager was rude and put the mood for the entire event off, she was snappy and while checking our bags, quite rough. They were also heard swearing at us. The provided - complimentary - DJ did not play the songs we requested and instead played the songs he wanted to play. Our cohort is quite multicultural, and his reluctance to play our music was deeply inconsiderate as the music of a party is what makes it memorable. When he did play our music, half of the cohort had left, leaving us very unsatisfied. The toilet arrangements were also quite obscure, with one hallway wherein both men's and women's cubicles next to each other. Not only this, but the entire venue was much to cramped for a cohort of 120 or so people, the dance floor also was very suffocating as we could all barely fit onto it, and the tables were squishy.

Overall, highly do not recommend coming here for formal events, and if you do, make sure you are ready to be unsatisfied and pissed off after the event.

Had a work Christmas lunch function here recently in the Gold Room. Friendly staff and nice views of the harbour from the balcony area (which has plenty of area to stand on for group photos). Plenty of glass windows for natural light. The food and cocktails were more average though.

Absolutely horrible services attitude. My law school had a ball here last night. No one led me to my seat when I just arrived. Left table for 2 minutes and my chair was gone then I looked for server help and the answer I got was ‘we have arranged enough seats for everyone.’ Seriously? The chair is right next to you i was asking because i don’t want to take someone else’s and i had to carry it myself - which is also fine until something worse happened.

I didn’t know vaping is not allowed in the venue thought half outdoor should be fine so when a waiter came told me i said sorry. But then the person just started to nitpick me, watching me intensely and stop me drinking straight from the bottle, which was never told not allowed before either. Ok fine I play by your rules no issues so far until she told my friend off when my friend was not vaping.

That pissed me off coz they were just looking for trouble. The waiter got a managerial role here who then started to ‘educate’ me. I wanted to go outside and she stopped me said i can’t leave when she’s talking. Excuse me who are you it is not my responsibility to listen to you and it’s bad attitude. Then she got the security here and kicked us out, well we were gonna leave anyway.

This is the worst attitude encountered since I arrived in Sydney.

The place is pretty but the food was just okay. The ravioli is delicious and and pumpkin was tasty. But the beef was rubbery and tasteless. The barramundi was cooked well but had a weird ginger ravioli underneath.

The bathrooms were inadequate for the number if guests. 4 womens and two men's cubicles for over 100 guests.

Had my wedding at L'Aqua, these photos are from the menu tasting. I have to say the service was fantastic, DJ was awesome and definitely one of the most memorable day of my life thanks to these guys.
