We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday but said nothing to them which didn't seem ro matter as it was a perfect dinner anyway.

Food was well presented reasonably priced and quality was best Ive had in a while. This truly is deceiving, a real hidden gem.

Atmosphere was good with a nice open view of regatta water course.

Staff were excellent. Attentive, confident and polite. I was pleased to see them ask me if i required another drink when finished as most places lately leave me dying of thirst but here was perfect in their balanced service.

Overall I would recommend dinner here if you want good food in a quiet setting with good service and reasonable pricing

I had dinner here recently and was so impressed.

We ordered:

- Seared Scallops
- King Prawns wrapped in Prosciutto
- Fish of the Day - Asian Salmon
- Eye Fillet Steak & King Prawn
- Crepes
- Lemon & Pistachio Ricotta Cake
- Prosecco

The food was incredible! The seafood and steak were all cooked perfectly and the flavours all worked well together.
It's hard to choose a favourite dish but I think if I had to pick it would be the scallops, I loved the salami crumble on top, followed closely by the steak 🤤

Owner Vince was so welcoming and there was live music which created a lovely atmosphere.

This was my first time here but it certainly won't be my last!!

I honestly cannot recommend Vince and the Lakeside Restaurant enough! Due to COVID19, my husband and I weren't sure if we were going to be able have our wedding, but Vince and the team at Lakeside worked with us to make everything perfect and COVID safe for our special day!

From day one Vince was there helping us work out the details and which wedding package option would be best for us. His prices are very reasonable with so many inclusions such as drinks package, free menu tasting, decorations and even the wedding cake! Vince really knows his stuff and has connections to some great vendors which he has worked with for 10+ years.

Not only did the restaurant have their own COVID safe plan, but they worked with us and our vendors in the planning and on the night to make sure we were COVID safe but still having a wonderful time. Service was great and the food was spectacular. Such a variety of menu options and all of our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever eaten!

Situated right on the lake, the restaurant is the perfect place with the best views. Our wedding was everything we could have ever asked for. Weather you are engaged or looking to host a special event- the Lakeside Restaurant is the place for you!

Had a Valentines Day lunch there with my wife. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We had a Valentine’s dinner (a night early!) and our expectations were vastly exceeded. Firstly, there’s enough bruschetta in a single serving to feed a small army. Secondly, since my lady has allergies to gluten, garlic, and onion (or the whole allium family really), this can make dining either boring or potentially explosive. However, the staff were beyond fantastic, customizing the duck so it was both delicious and non-fatal.

I had a steak in a peppercorn sauce so good the cow would have been pleased it had given its life for such a noble cause. These guys know how to treat their meat, which on Valentine’s celebrations, is of critical importance.

The staff were attentive and helpful at all times and the meal was very reasonably priced for the quality and service. Just take note, if you get a taxi, that the gates lock in the evening, as this caused a bit of a headache trying to get back home! Not the venue’s fault, but something to be careful of.

I have organised many events over the years but our birthday party for 30 guests at Lakeside was the smoothest and accommodating Restaurant I have worked with.

The food was delivered in a very timely manner and we have universal positive feedback about the quality and taste of the meals. The serving portions were very generous and there were no weak notes with the food.

Great service on the night and the pricing would bring a smile to an accountant’s face. We have no hesitation in recommending Lakeside for a romantic dinner or function.
