Very good value room which is well appointed, clean and comfy bed. Mini bar prices are $4 for anything from can or packet of chips to chocolate. So bring your own, fridge holds a reasonable amount.
Ideal for business users looking for a place to stay for a quiet night whilst working in the area.
It has an on-site restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner at pretty reasonable prices.
These are the rooms for an conference centre primarily so ideal if having a conference or course on the grounds.

Stayed here as it was very convenient, and also had a great experience 10 years ago. Parking was good and free. The staff were great. The room was clean and well decorated. Shower was good - nice hot water. The bed, however, was another story! The mattress was failing big time. It was very soft as the springs had collapsed. They squeaked with every movement. The bed should have been replaced years ago! Also the a/c decided to drop a ball bearing in the fan at around 5.45 am, so had to turn it off. Meant that the room became very stuffy quite quickly.

Similar to another customer, it took 20 days and two calls to the hotel to get my $50 deposit released. Staff were unhelpful in explaining why this took so long in the first place, and why it was not done upon checking out as I was advised it would be.

The accommodation itself was ok, no microwave though and no blackout curtains (only sheer ones), which was alarming when a member of the public walked right past the ground floor window at 6am.

I would like to acknowledge and express my gratitude to the staff members I interacted with, particularly Jessie, who was the first point of contact at the front desk. Jessie truly stood out with her customer-centric approach, and her efforts were greatly appreciated. Keep up the excellent work! The Lakeside Hotel management should recognize and reward such high achievers.
Cheers.

The hotel took a 50 AUD deposit before my stay and promised to refund it upon check-out, but this commitment has turned out to be completely deceptive. I checked out on April 6, 2025, and the hotel staff assured me that the deposit would be refunded within a few business days. However, as of today, April 28, 2025, I still have not received the refund.

Despite contacting the hotel multiple times, I have continuously received responses with excuses such as “bank delays”, without any concrete solution being offered. The fact that no payment has been made for such an extended period is a clear violation of the legal time frame, and the hotel’s failure to fulfill its commitment to the customer represents a serious lack of professionalism.

If the hotel cannot manage something as simple as refunding a deposit, it is evident that it cannot meet its responsibilities toward its customers. I have sent one final email to the hotel, and if the payment is not made within the next few days, I will proceed with legal actions and file a formal complaint regarding this hotel.

We received a friendly welcome and all the relevant information needed by the reception staff for our 2 night stay in room 210 on top floor (reception level). The room was very clean and tastefully appointed with a nice view across to the lake. It was lovely to hear the many birds around, some came to our verandah railing when they saw our curtains open expecting some food, we don't endorse encouraging this practice though.|The bed and pillows were nice and soft but we dprefer more support from both.|The bathroom was stylish but the shower mixer tap was very loose to the point of almost falling off. Shower water leaked out onto the bathroom floor, we had to call reception for an extra towel to soak it up. |Unfortunately, soon after having my shower (using my own products) and drying off, my eyes became very red, itchy and watery. Thankfully, I had some antihistamine with me. I can only put this down to harsh commercial detergents used when laundering as a similar thing has happened before elsewhere. I've been fine with informed eco friendly detergents and cleaning products at other places we've stayed.|Lachlan's Restaurant was a lovely space complimented with a tasteful menu. It can become noisy with larger groups though.|Each meal we had was delicious. The waitress Jay Jay was exceptional as was the executive chef.|We would consider staying at this property again in the future should we need to.

Very helpful and pleasant staff who went out of their way to assist. Close to Macquarie University Private Hospital, though initial walking arrival difficult to find - better to stick to road though limited footpaths.|Disappointed to find no plates or crockery when tired and just wanting own simple meal - though room service available later. Lovely view, but balcony dirty and requiring eviction of a cockatoo and then a magpie. |Quiet, but be prepared for sound effects from early avians on lake.

A very comfortable 3 night stay. Beautiful surroundings. Close to motorway, so very convenient. Can walk to large shopping mall. Was able to leave car in hotel's car park (free) and walk or use public transport (bus, metro). Staff very friendly and considerate.
