Great value for money and a beautiful little hideaway. We stopped for a couple of nights on our coastal tour from Byron back to Sydney. We had everything we needed and the retreat was prepared beautifully. It is hidden amongst the trees with close proximity to the lake. There is some wildlife, but the house itself is very clean and well looked after. However some critters do find their way inside, which is understandable.
You can hear the sound of the Pacific Highway from outside the house, but inside is lovely and quiet.
A great place to stop. Very cozy and well managed.

We arrived early to drop off some food and the cleaner was very accommodating but there was a stench of sewage. I was going to rebook elsewhere if the smell was still there on check in but the smell had gone. Unfortunately though we were treated with 3 hours of loud gun shots from the neighbouring gun club. Not to be dismayed we filled up the spa and started it up to be put off by sludge and algea being pumped out of the pipes. When I text the owners she blamed the cleaner. When I asked for 50 off the bill as they charge customers a cleaning charge of 50 if the spa is left dirty they ghosted me. They also refused to communicate when I left some items behind I wanted back. Book elsewhere.

We stayed at Lake Russell Lakeside Retreat in their McCubbin room/unit for one night. ||The unit had a lovely homely feel with lots of natural light, a great place to relax. The view from the room of the lake is stunning! |Bread, cereal and eggs were available if you needed breakfast which is a nice touch. ||It was only a short drive to the beach, national park and some great cafes. I wish we had stayed an extra night or two to explore the area more!

Great accommodation. The house is beautiful and confortable. The owners are very friendly. The bath with spa was fantastic. The place is even nicer than in the pictures. Very nice views of the lake. I went there on July and even being winter the place was not cold at all. The heaters worked perfectly. Everything provided even a cooler for a bottle of champagne. Simply perfect.

We stayed at the luxury retreat cabin for the Elton John Concert 24-25 Feb. This place is so serene , gorgeous and the outdoor private spa is beautiful. Right on the lake .Fantastic hosts that left bread , milk , eggs , chilled water and a heap of added extras made it feel so relaxed. Wish we could of stayed a few extras nights but will 110% be back. Do yourself a favour if travelling to coffs go the extra few minutes up the road and stay at this place , you wont regret it.

On arrival we had to endure 3 hours of gun shots from neighbouring gun club and then listen to M1 traffic noise. This is not a retreat. We had to fill up the spa which had algea in the pipes. Owners then refused to communicate once I had to ask for $50 compensation. Don't book here!

Have stayed at numerous place around the Coffs Coast as a regular visitor. Hands down the best value for money accommodation I have ever come across. Private, Clean, Spacious, Friendly accommodating owners... Sitting in the spa overlooking the lake as I’m writing this... Perfect Getaway...

Beautiful place to stay over for a long weekend.
Only downside that I'm a bit dissappointed is the toilet. Their is only one toilet to share for 5 people.
