My wife and I stayed a night at the Lake Illawarra Bed and Breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised. The property is very conveniently located within easy walking distance to the Lake and Ocean Beaches. It is easy to find and there is adequate on-site parking. Our room with ensuite shower bath also included a lovely veranda overlooking the heavily lanscaped private yard. We had a queen bed and very adequate amenities. It was the innkeeper and breakfast that made the experience. Bobby is a delight with a great store of stories to share, but it was his cooking that left memories. My wife had a delightful omelet and I attempted to eat the Australian Breakfast. Two eggs, beautifully done and more meat than I have attempted to eat in a single setting in years. I opted out of the beans, but that is just my backward American bias. There was coffee and tea, toast and all the vegemite that one could want. ||Stay at Lake Illawarra B&B for a great bargain in the heart of the Wollongong Shore!

Our host, Bob, was extremely friendly and accommodating and cooked us a wonderful breakfast the next morning. However the area where the guest rooms are could do with a freshen up, especially in the shared kitchenette area which had dirty tea towels, cups, tablecloth, etc. Our guest room was comfortable with clean linens and bathroom. Yelling families in the nearby proximity did not enhance our stay. Cleaner surroundings with a bit of modernisation would have raised my ratings.

I was booked into this place for a family event and after reading other people's reviews, I thought my son had booked me into a less than desirable place to stay for the weekend. However, after the first night, I was pleasantly surprised. I found the rooms comfortable, clean and different to other reviews. Bob's breakfast spread was more than ample for the day ahead. Bob's conversations and tour of the gardens was interesting.
As stated in another negative reviews the swimming pool and spa were visible from my balcony. However, I didn't venture in.
I would have no hestition in staying here again.

Lovely big house with a separate kitchenette with microwave and kettle. Bobby is lovely and always happy to have a chat. The food was delicious and the meals (breakfast) were very generous everyday that we stayed there.
Would highly recommend for anyone to stay there for a few days.

Bob is great and so is his little dog Daisy. Our room was clean, had its own clean bathroom. Bob is very enthusiastic and really wants to make you feel at home. His breakfasts are huge.

Having travelled extensively in Aust and overseas have not stayed any where like it. Upon entry to house met with extremely dirty carpet and musty smell, room just adequate with double bed with dirty bed cover and pillowcases, fortunately had a towel in car so slept on that, bathroom reasonable only because it had new vanity installed, the place was a fire hazard as smoke detector cover hanging off showing no batteries inside, on balcony outside room covered with rusty furniture, just horrible. Will not even mention breakfast. $135 per night was excessive for what we received. Brochure mentioned swimming pool and barbecue, didn't see any, perhaps because the backyard was so overgrown. The only plus was the Bowls Club in walking distance where we had a lovely meal.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Windang Bed and Breakfast and were overwhelmed with the friendliness and hospitality offered us - also the breakfasts were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Not bad , would stay again
Breakfast was full and hearty, room was clean . Host was welcoming. As it’s a b&b not a hotel there is a little bit more noise but not unreasonable Bit of noise from frogs but that’s ambience for you Coffee , books etc available
