We had stayed here before and enjoyed our experience. Since then it has changed hands and the place has gone down hill. The people running the motel are quite rude. The family room is at the back up some stairs and right on the highway so very noisy at night with trucks. When we stayed before we did not use the family room but this time we brought our grandchildren with us. We do come to Forbes quite often as we have family here but I will not be staying in this motel again. It is not very friendly. The cleaning products supplied to maintain cleanliness were old and worn. This applies to their total attention to detail which is very poor. The only saving grace was the air conditioning in our room worked very well. We received a message on our phone one night from the owners stating their had been a complaint about the noise from other guests. The family room is above the owners room and we were not making any noise as we were all in bed by 7.30. Also found this very strange as the night before there were very loud bangs reverberating throughout our room. Not sure what they were. We are grandparents travelling with 3 young children so aware they can make a bit of noise but definitely not jumping around as stated. Will never recommend this motel as family friendly!!

The room was the worst smelling room I've ever had.
It was so bad we didn't even stay... we found another room elsewhere.
Didn't have working a/c, a broken fan. When I asked to change room because the smell was making me sick and had given my a headache, was told that it was fully booked, it wasn't, rooms still available online ?. So I'm out of pocket. Please don't stay here. It's totally a horrible motel and staff not helpful and friendly at all. Minus stars if I could.

I was opening a biscuit pack provided by the Motel to have it with coffee in the morning. It was already open partially. When I fully opened it, cocrkoach crawled out. I have photos of it. It was disgusting. I lost m habitat and couldn't drink the coffee prepared.

the room smelled really bad and everything was coated in dust. the front desk lady was unbelievably rude & audacious. the noise from the road was loud but bearable, however we were staying under an upstairs room and struggled to sleep as you could hear everything. the bathroom wasn’t clean but neither was anything else. don’t bother staying here.

AVOID!!!!!!!!!! Family of 5 travelled 6 hours after booking a family room 8 weeks ahead to arrive to be told I didn’t have a room there & blamed it was my fault & to contact who I booked through! Absolute disgraceful hostess/office woman who would speak over me every time I tried to show her my booking & payment! I than arrived back at lake Forbes after contacting who I booked through to her finally apologising & telling my sister & I that she had double booked my room & finally took responsibility for her mistake! Never ever would I recommend this place to anybody! My sister & nieces stayed the 3 nights in their booked room while I finally found accommodation elsewhere for my family of 5 & she said it was filthy! They had no wifi the entire stay. If I could give 0 stars I would!

I stayed here with my family and was extremely disappointed. I've never complained about accomodation before, but this was awful. The room was filthy and seemed like it had never been cleaned. If we had other options, we would have stayed elsewhere. We tried to talk to staff about this but the reception was empty each time. I also emailed our issues through and have been ignored. ||Here is a list of some of the things wrong with our room. ||- dirty brown splatters on bathroom wall (large patch)|- food platters on wall behind bed (very large patch)|- bedside table filthy- had to be cleaned to be used - brown sticky substance. |- women's g-string underwear found on floor |- cigarette butts on balcony ground |- tobacco scraps on outdoor table |- cigarette lighter on the balcony- our toddler found this|- food scraps on the stools |- food scraps covering the bench|- no wifi |- no toilet paper

Cozy room, but the uncomfortable bed, thin walls, loud traffic, creaky floors, and noise from people rolling suitcases along timber beams made it impossible to sleep.

Avoid at all costs! Woman in the office was very rude. Rooms stunk of cigarette smoke, birds or mice in the roof, dirty bedsheets and I found hair on my mattress under the blanket, creaky floors, Wi-Fi is non existent, missing cutlery the list goes on. Owner refused to give us a refund even after we spoke to them about the issues.
