Saved us from a traumatic camping experience - we were very grateful to find this place! Few things to note, there’s no WiFi and not much phone signal, and the water is unfiltered tank water. Tastes amazing but you never know what contaminants could be in it from dirty roofs etc. Very hospitable people, quiet spot, great views.

If you want to experience all that Boreen Point has to offer this is the place to stay. Located on the doorstep of beautiful Lake Cootharaba, there are 5 rooms with various configurations and most have water views. The ‘Beach House’ is another option at the motel which features a large deck overlooking the main beach of the lake. Very comfortable with ample off street parking. Across the road from a large park which is perfect for kids and only a short walk to the popular Apollonian Hotel. Friendly owners, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended!

It you are looking for five star this is not for you. If you are looking for a pub with separate quant accommodation in a gorgeous friendly village on a fantastic sailing lake, then here it is. It's a short drive to Noosa, but you will love sitting on the pub porch watching the little kids rolling down the grassy slope, chatting to locals, drinking good coffee or beer, then wandering around the village of 366 people who will chat to you and show you their gardens and maybe take you sailing ...||Then pack your bags.|..

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night. One thing we learnt is, that you need to stay here more than a night. It is very quiet and relaxing, and is a place where you can totally chill out. There are great views over the lake and it has some really great walks nearby. The rooms are older style but are roomy and very spacious.||||The pub is just down the road. A 400metre walk. But the walk is not too strenuous. Overall we had a great stay and we will be back in the future.

We stayed two nights at the Beach House, which is self-contained and has a covered deck which looks directly out over the lake. The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet (mid-week) and the owners were very friendly and helpful. It's pretty laid back and not luxurious or new, but well equipped with two bedrooms (two queens and a single), functional kitchen, big TV, insect screens, fans, one air conditioner (in one bedroom) and one good bathroom (there is an extra toilet as well). There was no wardrobe for hanging clothes but each bedroom had hooks for coathangers and there is one large set of drawers in one bedroom. It's a lovely, quiet, relaxing location with easy access to the lake. The lake is pretty shallow and there are some nice sandy beaches for the kids, one of which is directly in front of the motel. You can hire kayaks and it would also be a good spot for SUP or windsurfing. It is about 30 mins drive from Noosa and six thousand times quieter! The little shop is nearby which supplies the basics but beware, it closes at 3pm! The nearest big supermarket would be in Tewantin which is 15 mins drive.

We stayed in the 'beach house' for a couple of nights. It was a great 'house' with a nice view over the water and right in the middle of town. It was clean, well maintained and pretty spotless. The only minor complaint is that it could do with a few more amenities. One bath towel each, no hand towels. No coffee plunger, cheap salt and pepper shakers. Instant coffee and tea with a couple of bikkies. One split-system heater for the whole house. Just not quite enough heating power for a cold winter night. While the owners were lovely people and wanted you to enjoy your stay there were no little 'extra' things in the house that would have added to the stay. We had a great time and it was a nice place but for what you pay there should be that little 'extra'. Overall a very nice place to spend a couple (or few) days.

Three stars is comparative to swish places which aren't available here and I recommend this unpretentious good value friendly motel with delightful water views. Rooms vary considerably from multi bedroomed with a large deck and kitchen to compact bedsits with a tiny kitchenette and small balcony. I had the latter and was happy enough with that and friends had other apartments including the largest one with great views and a large deck where we enjoyed pre dinner drinks and a barbecue. You can watch the sun rise from your balcony.||It's about 50 metres walk to the water where you can swim, kayak, picnic and birdwatch and 300 metres to the pub where you can have a decent pub meal.

Interesting little motel in a backwater, which was just was I was looking for at the time. I stayed in unit 5, the smallest, and next time might try a larger unit.|My main complaint is that there is not a single comfy chair on the deck to enjoy my book with a view. ALL the furniture was uncomfortable, inside and out. Even Fold-up director's chairs would be much better.|Also, this is an ideal venue for pet-friendly accomodation, just for small dogs. |Enclosed patio, lots of great dog walks. Just charge an additional pet levy for extra carpet deodorising if needed. Dog owners expect that, and would love this venue.|||||
