I had an incredible stay at Lake Central Cairns! The staff were amazing—so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, super comfy, and had everything you need for both short and long-term stays. The outdoor pool was lovely, surrounded by beautiful palm trees that made the whole place feel like a tropical oasis. It’s within walking distance to everything in town and offers easy access to tours, making it the perfect base for exploring Cairns. Highly recommend!

I've stayed at Lake Central Cairns many times, and it’s in an ideal location within the city. It's close to shops, the esplanade, the lagoon, tours departing from the marina, and just a short drive to the rainforest. The property offers a small kitchen and a private bathroom, making it perfect for any type of stay.

Looked closed on arrival. Door locked and local natives having gathering on front steps, so difficult to get in. Air conditioning was old and sounded like a tractor. Only basic soap provided no other toiletries. Pillow flat needed 3 to get standard height. No servicing at all for 10 days. Mould in handbasin drain, wonderful to look at when cleaning teeth. Doors need cleaning. Only good thing was close to everything.

I originally booked from 30 December to 3 january , its 4 night in total . Was gonna spend my new year and my birthday in cairn , location was very convenient. 10 min after checked in , i went back to reception, i told the lady the room smell strong of chlorine and chemicals and im 4 month pregnant. I requested to get different room or she can just refund me hence the room is not meet the health standards for pregnant women . She refused and wont gave me any solution, i emailed AGoDA (they asked me to contact the property staff) , i went to reception (ask me to contact agoda)
I already desperate, hence the heat and the chemicals in my room was so bad i got nausea, vomiting and headaches bcs i keep smelling the chemicals.
I knew there something not right , i have to buy early flight on 1 January to see my doctor in sydney . Its completely ruin my holiday all together. I wish they can handle it more caring, hence this situation danger my unborn child . Also there a family of crocoach and ant in the room . I got ant bite for just 2 night in there . Couldn’t take more pic i was rushing to catch my plane.

Staff was friendly and approachable. Convenient location as walking distance to restaurants and the esplanade. Great family get away. Room was spacious enough for the family and bed linen and towels clean. Comfortable stay overall and value for money.

Aircon and fans were not working!!!!!!!

I read some comments several weeks or months ago complaining that the aircon was not working. And it was still out of control in NOVEMBER 2024!! It only provided fans function with really bad smell in bedroom. The fans in living room was not working at all. It was horrible to live there during summer.

The lights were dimmed, and ventilation in toilet was really bad as well. Didnt expect that worse here. Especially I reserved the room as standard one.

But the location is fine.
