Oh wow what a beautiful relaxing time we had here. Very tranquil, the owner Brian is a great host (his dog Leo was super friendly) and the cabins were extremely clean, spacious and the couch was so comfortable. We had an absolute blast. Loved the animals, (DD the cow was my favourite) pool very refreshing and we will definitely visit again. So many great places nearby to explore. Loved every bit of our 3 nights stay.

This place is so amazing, thanks so much for the hospitality, loved the chats about the farm, thanks for letting the girls feed the animals. This is a farm stay with 6 cabins, I highly recommend staying at Lake Barra Cottages, so peaceful, 25 minutes out of town.
The cottages where so clean and the beds where so comfortable. Everything you need is there.
So relaxing and recommend staying, we stayed 4 nights, so worth it. The view beautiful. Leo the dog is so friendly and always loves a pat.

Fantastic location!!
Cottage was very neat, Clean and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away for some peace and quiet. The views from the cottage were great.
Brian the host was very helpful and I would definitely recommend and come back again.

Lovely location and very relaxing. The property is an former mango farm with plenty of trees. You can fish however the lake is surrounded with water lillies and reeds and lure-only fishing is very difficult, gets snagged and risk losing the lure. No other water activities available.
Good place to have a tech detox or to reconnect with your loved ones.

We only stayed one night, but I wish we had longer! |The cottages were lovely and clean. The showers were amazing and the beds were so comfortable! |I loved hearing the kookaburras and the chickens in the morning! |We arrived just after 6pm but this was no drama, we were met at the cottages and welcomed in. |It was lovely being able to wander around in the morning and see all the animals on the property.

What can you say other than WOW! Everything from the hospitality shown to our family by host Brian, to the perfect views, to the instant feeling of calm and relaxation as soon as you drive through the property gates was second to none. The kids particularly loved waking up to the animals and watching them being fed. While hubby and I enjoyed being able to sit in the sun enjoying a morning coffee out the front of the units before a BBQ breakfast watching the kids run around in the grass and play. The units themselves were extremely spacious for our family of 4. The beds are so comfy! And we all had a great nights rest! Brian was also absolutely fantastic in helping plan our day out to Rainbow Beach. We 100% didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

What a beautiful place to stay. So peaceful with awesome relaxing views. Perfect if you have a child too with a couple of pigs, 3 x sheep, and two cheeky chickens popping over regularly for a visit if you have anything to offer. A pool right in front of the Chalet which my son loved! You're still close enough to shops to pick up groceries and have a big BBQ at the spot everyone shares. Would be great if we had a few other couples in other Chalets to do fishing once the lake has settled from the rain. Very clean and comfortable beds & comfy lounge. We look forward to our next stay. Thank you again, Brian. You were so accommodating and your chilled out and relaxed personality adds to the stay.

So much potential but needs a good clean. Spiders dominated every window inside and out. Shower hadn’t been scrubbed in a long time by the looks of it so I did it myself. ||Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Peaceful and the views are gorgeous.
