For me, this is one of the great places that I've visited in a world of travelling. I do love to see nature and I also love snorkeling, so what I'm saying applies to people who like that sort of thing. They also appeared to have an excellent dive shop and diving opportunities for the divers out there. The actual accommodations are nice enough but are not luxury level, more of a 3 star type of room. Also, no air conditioning, but good ceiling fans, and it's part of the ambience of the whole place. No tv either, thank goodness. It's a place to get away, be in nature, have great snorkeling available just a short stroll from your room, look for sea turtles at night. And there are various talks available throughout the day on nature and environmental topics. Also, one free glass bottom boat and snorkeling trip are typically included in a package, and many people also bought additional snorkeling or diving excursions, which seemed reasonably priced. The food was pretty good considering the number of people being cooked for. The only slight annoyances occurred around lunch time when you are sometimes slammed with a tour group that is just coming through for a few hours and totally clogs up the works in the dining area. I stayed for a couple nights, and I strongly recommend that, as you can do a lot in the morning and late afternoon and thereby miss the crowd that might pass through midday.

We did a day trip to the island and it was amazing. Everything was perfect. A special thank you to Apphia and Kirk (the pilot) they both went above and beyond. |Highly recommend best day Out ever||Oh, and the turtles- how could I forget the turtles? The best I have seen snorkelling anywhere. Incredible, incredible incredible.

Just spent a weekend on Lady Elliott Island and had an amazing time.
The snorkelling was superb in both the Lagoon and Lighthouse beach reef.
All the staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable and all went out of their way to be helpful.
Included in our package was a glass bottom boat trip with an hours snorkelling included, saw lots of turtles, tropical fish, and rays.
We also had snorkels and flippers for our own adventures included as well as a reef walk and talk.
We were also lucky enough to see two turtles come up the beach in the evening and lay their eggs, truly a once in a life time experience.
The cafe had good food and it wasn't too pricey and there were plenty of drink options.
Unfortunately, the dinner included in our package was a very basic smorgasbord and truthfully needs to be improved on.
Our cabin was great, clean, and well-appointed, and beach towels were available on request.
All in all, it is an amazing place to visit for anyone who loves the water.

We left from Hervey Bay, small plane, lovely pilot, smooth flying. Amazing views. Helpful briefing from staff. Great day lockers, snorkelling gear. Went to the lagoon, saw so many amazing fish and turtles. Went out on the glass bottom boat, great information shared. By staff. Absolutely beautiful snorkelling, the reef was stunning. Best thing I have ever done.

Once in a lifetime experience! Everything was incredible beginning with the scenic flight to Lady Elliot Island and ending with the snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. The highlight was seeing the majestic Manta Rays! Love the mission of the Eco Resort felt throughout the Island. Wonderful accommodations, knowledgeable staff, and delicious food. Memories to last a lifetime! I can’t recommend this place more.

An excellent eco-resort where yoou can visit for the day or stay overnight. My wife and I just returned from a 3-day/overnight stay at Lady Elliot and it was outstanding. We stayed in one of the Glamping Tents for one night, and then stayed in one of the 2-bedroom suites for 2 nights. They also offer accomodations that are less expensive, so they have rooms that fit all budgets. The food is excellent, and the snorkeling is outstanding, of course.

What is not to love about this place. This year was my fourth trip and every time it is amazing. If you want nightlife, luxury, bars, music, crowds.....this is not for you. This is nature, this is calming, this is eco lodges and going to sleep with the sound of the ocean (and yes, the birds!). This is waking up at 6.30 and snorkling straight from your cabin on the beach in a blue lagoon full of coral, exotic fish, giant turtles who swim right next to you. This is having breakfast on a deck overlooking the lagoon. This is having sundowners on the beach watching the sun going down over the ocean, and maybe spotting a turtle coming in to nest. This is re-setting. No internet, no phones, just beautiful nature. Malives - eat your heart out ! Treat yourself.

Our group of 5 on 1.5 hr flight from Brisbane on single prop Caravan plan to the island's own grass runway. Greeted warmly by staff. You are given ALL the snorkeling and swim equipment you need. The staff literally does everything to help you, even swimming with you. Snorkeling/diving in well marked, protected ares off their special pontoon boats with easy entry and egress into the water. Wonderful seafood lunch after, before our return flight back. The wildlife, marine and terrestrial, is incredible.|The birds are so used to humans, you could almost touch them. Saw large amount of sea turtles and rays, and every other marine life. Saw more marine life here than at the Galapagos. Little to no bleaching of reef here.|This trip is worth every penny.
