I’ll start by saying it was probably a 3:5 star experience but to put 3 here would be unfair. We got the degustation with wine pairing, plus a glass of bubbles and beer to kick off with. It was overall good, but not $450 awesome as you’d expect with this price point.

The good;
The service was wonderful and attentive, without being too intrusive. The gravlax was nice, the chicken and mushroom awesome and the poached apple was delicious, plus the bread was superb! The riesling was the best wine, closely followed by the dessert wine.

The not so good;
I found a few of the dishes both underwhelming and very small (I do understand it was degustation) the raclette needs to go, as does the camembert, which was ridiculously small. The scallop was nice but just too small to be anything and it didn’t really scream French to me. As a French experience maybe put some escargot and some foie gras, as it would be a great introduction to these little delights and it was my partner’s first experience at a French restaurant….I wanted a total French experience. The other wines didn’t exactly blow my hair back neither.

It’s a lovely setting with a well oiled service team that you could not fault, just a few food dishes let it down. We will definitely return but will be just ordering straight from menu next visit, especially as some of the items arriving at other tables looked wonderful. As I said at the start when you spend $450 on lunch, it needs to be bloody awesome….not just good.

We had a beautiful lunch at La Belle Vie at the end of a week of birthday celebrations. We were given the corner table by the window. A perfect position on a stunning. Brisbane day.
We opted for the 6 course degustation with matching French wines. Each course was beautifully presented, tasty, a perfect size and served at appropriate intervals. The wines served were delicious and a lovely match.
The service, as always, was excellent. You can never go wrong at La Belle Vie.

We came for a lovely lunch, we received a voucher for a birthday gift. The views are beautiful, would definitely recommend coming when it’s still light! I thought the set menu was tasty but a couple of the dishes were average. The toasted goats cheese and salmon were okay, I found them not very exciting. I thought the chicken and the dessert were excellent. I would expect more than a cheese board for one of the courses at this price point as well. Overall a fab setting for a nice meal.

Had a lovely evening. The food was excellent & the correct size. They served in a timely manner at our request. Highly recommend. The ambience was lovely. The service was also excellent. We had the degustation menu. One meal was paired with alcohol. They were excellent with allergies & dietary choices.

Such a beautiful restaurant with an incredible view. Staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and the food was excellent. Had such a great time here for our anniversary!

Wonderful find!
Classiest place ever, the staff is lovely and the location is really pretty.
As aperitifs, we got the Birlou and the Rinquinquin, both spectacular (Le Birlou might be my new favorite drink).
The gnocchi were tasty and the escargot really good!
They put attention in every single detail, which makes this restaurant a gem.

Lunch booked for our anniversary upon recommendation from friends on Saturday. Certainly didn’t disappoint. From the moment we entered the staff all so friendly, food exceptional and had requested a table seating near the glass overlooking the garden and greenery. Also requested the owner to take a pic on our way out. Will be rebooking with our friends.

fantastic dining experience with a small group of friends! Staff were super lovely and friendly. Started off with complementary baguettes and butter. My favourite was definitely the gnocchi- super unique and crunchy. Quail was full of flavour. All the meat dishes were well seasoned and tender. The owner was super lovely. They opened up a new French fusion recently and we are super keen to try! Lots of parking spaces available too.
