We were only in Mackay for one night... The room we stayed in for a night was in good shape... nice and cool and comfortable bed...good quality for $$$.

The lovely staff on Friday night + Dj Funky made for a nice night out. Thanks Funky!

Can't say anything about the rooms I have never stayed there but the bartender was lovely & drinks were cold it's chilled back can take kids & your dog 🐕 really enjoyed my time there

Pity the lowest star that can be given is 1, because id give zero if I could, don't know why they still keep part of this place open, it should be completely shut down, it's filthy and disgusting, I did a few shifts in there and unfortunately I had the uncomfortable task of going into the men's toilets to see if any glasses were left behind, I nearly threw up, as soon as I opened the door both men's toilets stink strongly of urine, don't the staff care about that kind of thing?

stayed in room 7, at check in was told room 7 but given a key for room 6.. after going for lunch and coming back, our key wasn’t working at all. the managers came around and said they were looking for the key for room 6 and i said it wasn’t working for our door but it worked at check in, she then said “oh that shouldn’t have worked”…. we then got the key for room 7. our stay wasn’t bad for the price, the area doesn’t seem very good but i’m not mad, it was a cheap room. check out was difficult as no employees seem to be onsite until 10am, although the booking says check out ends at 10am.. we ended up leaving the key in the room and locking it, seeing as they have a master key for all the rooms anyway.

It appears to have continued to go downhill steadily since my last visit unfortunately. It's run down, abit eerie, most of the venue is empty and closed off completely due to low patronage. Very hot in the pub and it's deserted most days. Piles of old junk and broken asbestos scattered around the motel's carpark and perimeters. Window screens are replaced with makeshift one's in the form of rusty old refrigerator shelves. Appears as if the owners are struggling with financially. Please support this stuggling business as their staff seem proud to work here and deserve the same chance at running a successful establishment like the others around Mackay are doing.

The room was great. Big enough and comfortable also for my 4 granddaughters and myself. The beds were comfortable and relaxing. I would book again when i travel North.

Don't judge a book by its cover 🙂. My motel room was spacious and clean. An unexpected bonus was the supply of microwave and toaster!! So close to city centre, and it resolved the chronic street parking issues in the city centre. I will use it as my base again when next in Mackay.
