A lovely setting on the fringe of Bellingen and an easy walk to town centre. The quietness of the location is only broken with the beautiful sounds of the bird life in the surrounding trees. Access from the car park to the cottage is a little steep but manageable if careful. We would certainly stay again!

What a wonderful surprise. Very good layout and facilities in the room, excellent location in town but hidden away in the rain forest, gorgeous. Owners very responsive and caring, offer a lovely personal touch to the service. We will be back as our rest stop travelling north and south. Loved everything about it…even the little birdie that ‘knocks’ on your window in the morning…very sweet!

Loved the feel of the rooms… cozy and so perfectly maintained for ease, peace and quiet. The cabins are a little close together than I imagined, but still felt private. If you want the comforts of access to shops and great food with a feel of seclusion this is the place for you. The bath is also an amazing reward for the soul!

Lovely cabin. We felt like we were in a tree house in a rain forest. Close to town. Such a serene place to stay overnight for us to break up a trip between Sydney and Brisbane.

From start to finish, the stay here at Koompatoo Retreat was amazing! I feel like it was such value for money and exceeded our expectations. There was excellent communication from beginning to end and all the amenities you could need are provided (Tea selection, nice coffee, bathrobes, utensils, shower supplies etc). We arrived after a long drive to an already air conditioned cabin and immediately felt so relaxed. Our only gripe is we didn't book a longer stay! Thank you Koompartoo, we really loved our stay. What a beautiful place ?

What a beautiful place to stay!! ‘Away from it all’ but still close enough to all that beautiful Bellingen has to offer. The small hike to the cabins is a small price to pay, considering the cabins themselves. Every detail has been taken into consideration. Any reviews, including my own, won’t do these cabins justice. The communications were impeccable. Koompartoo has become a favourite and we will be returning!! Thank you so very much for an unforgettable stay!

A must stay!!! The experience was unforgettable and this is now our new favourite spot! The relaxation that you immediately feel when entering these cabins is amazing. The beautiful flora and fauna was an absolute delight. There’s not a single detail that hasn’t been considered. Absolutely beautiful place to stay!!

We stayed here for one night passing through and it was unforgettable. Everything was so perfect from the moment we arrived. We walked into a beautifully warm and intimately lit cabin, the bath in the room was very inviting.

Dinner at Charlie’s on Church was incredible also.

When it came time to leaving it was upsetting as didn’t want to go.

We will definitely be returning and recommending to all.
