The place is very peaceful and quiet. It’s situated very central of Brisbane, and most things can be reached by foot. We had a double room for two nights. It was nice to have big double bed, clean sheets and towels. The bedroom was air conditioned, and we had our own fridge. |The host was very kind and helpful, and we got a quick respond when we needed any assistance. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, and a refresh of the kitchen area would be nice. We can recommend Kookaburra Inn if you want a peaceful and quiet place close to the center.

as a corporate traveler of nearly 40 years i was quite surprised to see how poorly this place was- you can't sugar coat it- I guess in these economic times- budget is budget and that's what this little place is- and that is what it was advertised as. It was the cheapest no dormitory place i could find. |it was quiet- the sheets were clean, basin in the room , and the guys running the place Stephen and Sean were super friendly ,nice, and helpful with my bag on the way out ( not in). It was a humbling experience to say the least .|TBH the place could do with a complete renovation and maybe a bull dozer- then it wouldn't be budget and would cost a fortune. If you are able to check it out in person before booking that would be better- in these tough times anything goes and this was that.no hard feelings it beats sleeping in a car or on the street. unfortunatey the pictures on booking .com make it look amazing. And thats probably what it was years ago.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. I was a bit skeptical about a common kitchen and shower but it was not bad at all. I like that it is close to the queen street mall. I attended the P!NK concert at the Suncorp stadium and walked back safely within 30mins. Thoroughly enjoyed BNE with Kookaburra Inn as my base 😊

The room was clean with a good aircondinioner and very good Wifi. The location is great and the staff was very kind, esspecailly Sean. The kitchen was also good, everthing you need was there. The other guests were a little loud and the bathrooms looked very old and somrtimes dirty. All in all a good place for a few nights.

The place is in a good location, clean, quiet, good shower, walkable for sightseeing, food and shopping. Has a nice outdoor area. The inn is well maintained.
If visiting Brisbane again, definitely staying here!

i needed reasonably priced accommodation in Brisbane when my sister was hospitalised. Stephen and Sean made me welcome and were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The rooms are old but clean and the bathrooms and kitchens were always clean as well.
If you are looking for a bed in a central location at a reasonable price, I recommend the Kookaburra Inn

The rooms and amenities are modest but very comfortable. The management is polite and easy to contact.
They let us keep their luggage behind the desk after we had checked out, which was a big help for that day.

Lied to by reception saying 1000$ a week then move down stairs next too kitchen toilet ect. Owner tells me open and shut door quite but after a few hours I hear microwave door people talking loud and a slapping toilet seat. Maybe the other rooms are better and the fridge needs to thrown out the window how loud it is. All out definitely not a inn or motel. Just a boarding house. 1 star if we're a decent price maybe 220 a week other than that another Brisbane rip-off dump and no kookaburras

6/7/24 Sean and his man suk to much cockaballbags they kicked me out the day after a eye socket and cheek bone 4plates said I smoked in the room. Two putrid lieing poofters who should be locked up in prison for robbery and lieing. How could y live with Ur self making money this way. Sean go back to Japan and take Ur corrupt Aussie husband with u. Australia some day will fall.
