I have travelled extensively and stayed in many, many accommodation places all over the world (and plenty in Australia) and truly this resort is a complete standout. I've stayed in the Treehouses twice now (two separate properties) and couldn't be more impressed.

Staying here is truly like stepping into another world. I have never felt so relaxed staying somewhere. The views and surroundings are tranquil and truly beautiful. The rooms are clean and the living/outdoor spaces are truly designed to take in the sights and enjoy it all.

The cherry on top is that management is lovely, helpful and sent through text updates with any info we may need for late check-in.

Can't wait to come back!

I really was looking forward to this place, but it was a disappointing stay.

The highlight was the surrounds, nature and the sound of the falls through the national park.

I booked and paid for a Tree House room with spa, specifically with a spa only to find a sticker above the start button informing customers they have been decommissioned due to the environment.

That's fine but then don't advertise something you don't offer.

We were unable to use the heated Magnesium pool because a function took up the area, we were told come back at night or use the top pool (not heated).

Finally on our last night we looked forward to eating at the restaurant, we had eyed off the menu from our first day and waited 2 days to try.

Honestly it was nice but not wow, and when asked how our desert was I reply, "sort of average" which it was, some gussied up Panna Cotta, not set properly, sort of sloppy definitely not to our liking.

I was happy to pay and rack it up as just an experience, unfortunately whilst making our payment the manager with the buzz cut said "so the desert was average?"

I said yes I've had a few in over 40 years, this just wasn't it. "She then replies well no one else has said so, and I'm 44.

Very childish.

So if the person who is the face of the restaurant can't take criticism when asking for customer feed back, then that's sad.

She was a smart ass and ruined our night, overall the stay was not a great experience and shame.

"I had a wonderful stay at the Kondalilla Eco Resort's tree house. The kookaburras visiting the balcony were a delightful touch, and the serene, quiet environment made for a perfect retreat. The drive to the resort was beautiful, and the nearby restaurants were excellent. The cool weather in the valley added to the charm of the location. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway in a stunning setting!"

Stunning area, beautiful room. So peaceful and right at the falls. Loved the open bedroom looking at the trees. Shame the spas don’t work anymore. Lady at reception was incredible and friendly, going above and beyond! Highly recommend as a retreat!

I had booked for two night but left after one.
Having stayed in many places locally and globally, this is possibly the most disappointing.
The good:
- location is nice and quiet
- the deluxe villa was nicely appointed
The bad:
- check in was at 2pm, reception closes at 4pm .. so no chance to learn you have to buy/supply your own food for breakfast etc and no chance to purchase bubble bath for bath
- restaurant is only open 12pm-8pm, vegetarian & seafood only (you should list this)… need to ring to book, but have no mobile phone coverage and no other phones to book (same for massage)
- have to drive to restaurant, have to drive to the pool
- the pools … one you have to drive to, the other is just like a domestic pool, but freezing cold and full of leaves, not like the pictures on the website at all
- the fireplace .. nice, but too hot to use
- the outdoor bath, nice to look at but too many mosquitoes to use
- you need to bring your own food, or drive somewhere (we had to drive to IGA @ petrol station to get breakfast and dinner)
- having a shower means everything gets wet in the villa

all in all, if it is meant to be a getaway off the grid, and eco friendly, then a fail as you have to drive everywhere and bring your own supplies.

If it is meant to be luxury (as it is expensive), then it is a fail - you have to do everything yourself. Also, construction equipment and construction fences ruin the atmosphere.
i would not recommend this to anyone in its current format.

My boyfriend (now fiancé!) and I stayed here over the ANZAC Day long weekend. We stayed in the Spa Haven villas and were blown away with the room, service and surrounds.
We were greeted warmly by reception upon checking in and the room was luxurious but comfortable at the same time. Views from the room were breathtaking and the kondalilla trail easily accessible. We took advantage of the heated pool for a swim and dined at the restaurant the night he proposed as a treat and were blown away by the quality of the meal.
I’d recommend this place to everyone and look forward to coming back!

Beautiful location, really nice tree top cabins.

Spa's are disabled for 'environmental' reasons, but you can fill the tub up with water regardless so it doesn't make sense. There's a fireplace and candles, but no matches and you're discouraged from bringing your own because it's a fire free resort.

I stayed 1 night, check-in was 3PM and the reception closes at 4pm. Pretty average, the location saved it.
