Went to kols kebabs Lismore today for lunch 20-5-25 they are an amazing place the food is absolutely delicious and very generous. The staff are so helpful and friendly and you don’t have to wait long. So affordable you won’t be disappointed I can’t recommend enough well done guys 😃

3 years ago, I wrote this..... This is, by far, the best kebab shop I've been to. To be here this long, they've got to be doing a great job. Always the same quality, no matter when you go there.
Today, with the new owners, I can say it's still true. I was hesitant the first time I ordered here, knowing there were new owners. So many times, great businesses get sold, and the new owners try and 'improve' things when they should just leave well alone. That's what the new owners have done. Kept the winning recipe. Congratulations. Still the best kebab in the world, I reckon. I did read a review complaint about the small size. I'm not sure what has gone wrong there, but the kebabs are huge. Always were and still are.
I will say there has been a slight change. The kebabs are actually marginally better. Yes, it is still all the same meat, salads, and sauces, but the balance of the ingredients is better. WELL DONE to the new owners and staff. 🥳👏👍
Today, Mar '23. Still 5 star. The new aioli is a bit runny. The rolling of the kebabs could make sure the paper doesn't get rolled inside, and the young lady serving could try and smile......costs nothing, makes customers feel appreciated, BUT they are still the BEST value lunch item in Lismore. It was TOTALLY delicious and packed full.
The very BEST thing about these kebabs is that they aren't destroyed by being squashed in a sandwich press and given a very 'standard franchise' crusty hot exterior.
Today, 13/2/24. The prices have gone up slightly, which is great, I think, because they were sensational value before, and now they still are. The amount of filling is still extreme, including the meat. All the same ingredients are superbly balanced in the making. The wrapping is now better, and the guy behind the til taking the orders is friendly and welcoming. The 2 guys making the kebabs are also happy. Still the freshest, tastiest most economical lunch in Lismore.

Im not sure what exactly has happened. The quality of the kebabs has been steadily decreasing over time, but the most recent one i had was beyond abysmal. The bread was raw & untoasted, the size was pitiful in comparison to what it used to be, and the price was through the roof. They even mixed up the sauces on the order.
I used to consider Kol's to be one of the best kebabs I have ever had, but I will never be returning there again after today.

I bought a mixed kebab and it was sensational. Could taste that everything was fresh, wasn't greasy or oily. Shop was pretty busy but the service was still pretty quick. Will be back again soon 🙂

This extremely talented young chef knows his shit, he personally makes some selected sauces which are spot on, hoping the bad reviews are opposition who cannot match Mals consistent service and prompt delivery of a superior kebab made correctly and with a professional and consistent quality is unbeatable in this city
