Kingfishers Cafe is a perfect place to enjoy any event! The atmosphere and scenery of their gardens is just beautiful and so relaxing. The staff were helpful, kind and went above and beyond for our guests to ensure our dining experience was perfect. They provided extra umbrellas for shade, enough tables for what we needed for our event. They didn’t mind us turning up early to set up our balloon garland and decor. We had delicious sandwiches, cold/ hot canapés and gourmet desserts. The food package was well priced with five star service. They catered for gluten and dairy free. In hindsight I would have preferred a drinks package with barista made coffee over a tea & coffee station however it was something I overlooked. We had the most wonderful time and would highly recommend this venue for any occasion. Thank you so much to all your incredible staff, barista’s and chefs. Only one thing for booking an event, check in advance about extra costs regarding cake charge and tablecloths as it was something that was not discussed at booking.

Perfect place if you would like it to feel like a full meal in a garden. 10/10 atmosphere. I had the pork belly and it was wonderful! Can't speak towards the other food items.

Wonderful meals, juices, desserts never have we been disappointed. The acoustics are a little unbalanced at the inside tables. Very hard to have a conversation once it is even 1/3 full... And it usually is very busy... Mainly because it's one of the best venues in town

Arriving without a booking at Saturday lunchtime, we were asked if we'd like indoor or outdoor seating. Given the current beautiful autumn weather, we opted for outdoors. This venue appears popular with retirees. Lovely manicured gardens, interrupted by the antics of the Australian White Ibis (aka bin chickens). Due to the slow speed of clearing used plates they made merry havoc, kicking cutlery and crockery everywhere. Some Australasian swamphen (pictured) were far more sane and didn't disturb the atmosphere.

Food orders were taken relatively quickly, but mains arrived before drinks, requiring a follow up. My red curry (pictured) had a good flavour but the duck was dry - overcooking a duck leg isn't an easy thing to do, it's very forgiving. My wife had an open faced sandwich (not pictured) that was rather greasy and nothing noteworthy.

Relative to location, quality of food and service this experience was on the expensive side - but did allow us time to execute a strategy replanting our garden.

Paid $21 for 2 tiny slices of frozen cake (not meant to be frozen), that came to the table in a single shared cardboard takeaway box with only a single napkin. We ordered coffees & juice as well, & would have ordered breakfast but was far too expensive. *Bacon & eggs $24!*

The waiters 'lingo' & customer service was below average, he had our 'stuffs' & my 'espresso thingy'.. I mean, who is training these people.

If you're serving food at such a high price, best make sure the quality of food & service is higher than what I received today.

I've been there many times and loved eating there but since last September2024 sadly main meal fish was not very fresh and the fruit scone was dried out not sure but had strange smell the flour could not eat it, that was the same today February 2025.. Coffee was enjoyable and staff were very polite.

Loved my vegetarian grilled pumpkin dish with a side of greens. The restaurant had seats among a rather big garden and it's a beautiful spot to grab a breaky or brunch after a browse at the adjacent business for some gardening enthusiasts.
Unfortunately the hosting gardens need a bit of love and maintenance and the inside area needs a bit of tidying up. Otherwise a great place to relax and grab a bite.

Fantastic place! What a treat to eat and relax in such a wonderful garden. Food was great too. If the weather is fantastic you can sit outside, but if it's a little off you can also sit inside.
