This park is a must do if you are coming through Bourke. Situated just north of the town centre is a great place to stay. We had two nights there and it was very relaxing. The sites are more than adequate as well as the facilities. The grounds are a credit to the owners and staff. Its pretty popular so don't leave it to the last minute. Highly recommend.

So disappointed, after travelling hours and having to change our plans last minute due to road closures elsewhere, we decided to come to Bourke. This camp looked beautiful, but due to it being a public holiday we were unable to contact them for a booking, and their website doesn’t let you book online (that I saw). We decided to check it out before trying the caravan park as it looked an amazing spot to stay. The lady came to the door straight away and unlocked it for me, a good sign I thought! Yes it was late and a public holiday, but if you’re shut then don’t let new guests arrive. But she let us in so I thought great! But it wasn’t great because she was so cold and unwelcoming, told me “I just have to send this email” while I was taking to her about staying there. She told me it was $95 for an unpowered site and I have to be out by ten am. Reiterating “must be out by ten”. So I spoke to my husband waiting in the car and he said just to book it and we would stay two nights. I went back in to tell the unwelcoming lady who then suggested I stay at the caravan park for cheaper. I considered this as $200 for a patch of grass is hugely expensive for two nights, but again, the place looked beautiful so being my son’s birthday the next day we thought we could splurge. I asked her for any info on the just suggested caravan park and she brushed me off saying “I don’t want to be here, it’s late”. So I just walked out. How rude. If you don’t want to serve any customers then leave the door locked. You work in hospitality, which includes late hours (6:30pm we turned up) and public holidays. So no. I would not recommend this place.

We have stayed here before and in truth, it wasn't as impressive this time around. Still lots of well-grassed, well maintained sites ad plenty of shade. Reasonable tariffs. Older facilities with some maintenance issues. Cakes of soap provided instead of filling the soap dispensers and a common towel provided instead of paper towel or air dryer. Really? In this post-covid age? Seems to need a shot in the arm from new management but still a nice place to stay.

Nearly did not bother with this park based on recent reviews so glad I decided to give it a go it’s on its way back to past glory the young lady in the office was fantastic I watched her all afternoon and she did not stop all day plenty of people working around the place on garden beds and other maintenance. Although out of town I think this was a bonus and felt very safe. The Northy Hotel is really close worth a look completely refurbished in 2022 after a fire|||Give Kidman Camp a go and help them get back ..

This was one of the best places I stayed during my trip through NSW. A great place to stay with my small camper, on the camping grass. Close to the campkitchen (a big one with tables and a small sofa) and the amenities building.
When my friend came for the weekend, we stayed in one of the cabins and they are just beautiful. Completely made of wood logs, it just was great. We could sit on the veranda with our coffee and just look over the area in front of us which had trees, grass and kangaroos.
The owner is a very nice and friendly person.

This is a place I will certainly visit again next time I come to Australia!

The website for this property needs to be updated. We had a walk around the park yesterday and couldn't believe how many signs were up advising "OUT OF ORDER"|This was on the following |Dump Point, BBQ's in the camp kitchen, vending machine in camp kitchen, washing machine and dryer. |If you read other reviews the dump point hasn't been functioning for over 12 months. The once used communial fire pit is not used any more and is now used as a dumping/storage place. Showers are in need of a good deep clean also.|I imagine that back in the day this would have been a wonderful park because you can still see glimpses of this, but I am not sure why it has fallen into such disrepair.

After a big drive how refreshing it was to pull into this oasis. We are traveling in a van and the site was grassy, flat, shaded and drive through. Hosts were very helpful and friendly, amenities fabulous and very clean. A added bonus was the Paddle Boat ‘JANDRA’ on the Darling River offering tours on the river.

Once the best caravan park in bourke but has been let run down. Every BBQ out of order. Washing machines out of order. Drink machines out of order. Very poor camp kitchen. But still $45/night. Price gouging. No lights in the amenities during the day could hardly see. Making in excess of $3000 per night surely things could be fixed to standard.
