Childers is always a nice place to stop. It has a number of interesting buildings one with some old medicinal displayd and plus this Cafe is one of our favourites. Always consistent good food and coffee.

Food looked absolutely beautiful. Staff are so inviting and lovely. Customer service amazing. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with Salmon, Eggs Benedict with mushrooms and ham and fish and chips. Got half way through the eggs Benedict and found that there what looked like a spider to me. Returned the meal to the staff, whom promptly returned the meal to the cook. The approached me and my family and advised that it wasn't a spider, the sauce was made freshly this morning. I explained to the cook, why does it have legs! Cook stuck to what she said originally. They didn't offer a refund, or even a partial as I did eat half of the meal before my arachnid find. I request a partial refund, staff gave a full refund. Eggs Benedict with mushrooms and ham was superb.

Stopped for a quick takeaway coffee and tea. Great coffee, tea and macadamia caramel slice! Great spot to stop if you have a caravan as you can park in the RV parking area in the street behind.

Popped in for morning coffee & the baking smells were wonderful. We had the $10 coffee & scones deal. Our long blacks were excellent so pats on back for the barista.
Scones were huuuge (we could've shared one) but pretty doughy & the Strawberry jam a bit thin but tasty enough.
But still gets a big tick from us. Loved the "no dogs" signage!

For the second year running, stopped here for lunch on the way north about 1.30pm both times. The food was ok the service ok. However, both times, staff stacking chairs on tables, staff loudly vacuuming carpets, all while the customers are trying to enjoy their lunch. Please wait until you have closed for the day to complete these tasks. No one wants to have people closing up around them while eating. It’s rude.

I was here at midday on a Sunday. They were fairly busy. Mixed up the order but fixed it quickly, then brought the wrong food to the table, but ours arrived a few minutes later. Staff were all friendly, a bit flustered though. The lychee and lemon iced tea was nice. I has a toasted sandwich was good. You can definitely mess up a toastie so I was very happy with mine. The chicken and mushroom pie was also good. The apple crumble cheese cake was okay. It lacked flavour, and I didn't taste the apple at all.
