I stayed a few weeks ago with my group of friends. We really enjoyed the place, we were lucky to see a nice sunrise, lots of kangaroos, we went on a bushwalk and we hired canoes for the lake, great trip! All staff was very nice, Sylvie at reception was lovely! She was very kind and helpful with everything we asked. We would definitely recommend!

Stayed at the Kangarooms for a week and it was great!
The rooms are a bit small, however they’re really clean and the beds are comfortable.
I’m just missing some curtains for the beds.

The kitchen is well equipped and kept clean, as well as the bathrooms.

There’s kangaroos everywhere and you can enjoy the sunset/ sunrise at the lake. 🙂

Very nice location and atmosphere! The kitchen is very nice and the bathrooms r nice too. There are kangaroos everywhere. The rooms are nice but very small. We barely had any space to storage our luggage. If I wanted to get something out of my suitcase I had to go outside. It would be nice if the shuttle bus would drive to the accommodation more often. The prices are very high too so I recommend you going to the grocery store before you come here. Overall a nice experience and I would still recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful area. Beautiful scenery and amazing trails, added with wonderful staff who are polite and obviously respect the animals. Would love to add that Sylvie was an absolute sweetheart who explained all the rules very carefully and was just an excellent host. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely come back!

YHA Noosa Everglades is one of my favorite stays on my East Coast trip. I contacted them before arriving, and they were very helpful in answering all my questions. They offer a shuttle from the bus terminal and a warm welcome with plenty of kangaroos, including joeys. I arrived on a rainy day, so I skipped the water activities, but I still enjoyed the lake view, the kangaroos, and a beautiful sunrise. No luck spotting a kangaroo jumping on the lake.🦘

Beautiful place to stay , everyone is so passionate and genuine. The staff are so kind and helpful. We saw the kangaroos at sunrise which was just magical. Highly recommend staying here, there’s plenty of things to do.

It’s a great location, and it’s lovely to see the kangaroos and animals around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms and bathrooms were not very clean, and my room smelled bad after it was “cleaned”. There were bugs all over. The kitchen was also not great, there weren’t many dishes and everything looked very used. There was no kitchen paper and the towels were always wet. It was too expensive for the condition of the facilities.

Truly amazing experience, the rooms are right at the heart of the everglades, the surrouding nature was incredible and - the highlight - there are dozens of friendly Kangaroos EVERYWHERE!
Beautiful sunrise on the lake, which was also amazing to swim and canoe - great experience overall.
Only downside is the rooms themselves, which were fine considering you’re in the middle of the forest, but weren’t super clean and had cockroaches roaming around…
Would still return and recommend staying!
