The Joondalup Resort was presented very well for our recent national conference. Whilst the rooms and bathrooms are somewhat dated, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Breakfast each morning was nice, and the access to bars for evening drinks was great.

I was able to play all 27 holes on the golf course over 2 x days, and absolutely enjoyed the challenging, yet immaculately maintained golf course.

The conference facilities were perfect for our needs, and the event was a success.

Hotel Review: Joondalup Resort

Joondalup Resort is a hidden gem nestled just a short drive from the city and major shopping centers, offering a peaceful escape without feeling too far from the action. The resort boasts an impressive range of facilities, including an on-site restaurant, a cozy café, a golf course, and a relaxing spa—all set within beautifully landscaped grounds.

One of the highlights is the stunning view and layout of the resort. The surroundings are tranquil and scenic, and you might even spot kangaroos lounging near the golf course—a unique and delightful sight.

The food is top-notch, both at the restaurant and via room service, though the room service hours could be extended for added convenience. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials you’d expect for a comfortable stay.

Breakfast is simple but satisfying, covering all the basics. Whether you’re here for a relaxing weekend, a golf getaway, or a short break from city life, Joondalup Resort delivers a solid and memorable stay.

Joondalup Resort wasn't on my radar. I attended an event there a few weeks back and noticed how fabulous The Alcove restaurant space was. A few of us met for lunch and a meeting there today. The service was outstanding. I honestly felt like a VIP. The lunch menu was just enough choice without any overwhelm. The food was delicious. We will definitely be returning guests.

We found our stay a mixed experience. On the plus side, the location is excellent—convenient and well-connected, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and a peaceful atmosphere. Although we didn’t use the pool, it looked clean, well-kept, and very inviting.

That said, a few aspects of the stay were disappointing. Upon arrival, the receptionist was lacklustre and not particularly welcoming, which set a slightly underwhelming tone from the start. The rooms, while clean, felt quite dated and in need of a revamp. Lighting was very dim, making the space feel a bit gloomy, and the shower head was underwhelming.

Another issue was noise. The constant clatter of laundry trolleys being pushed along the outdoor tiled walkways was disruptive.

We did not use the on-site restaurant, so we can’t speak to the food or service there.

All in all, while the resort benefits from a great location and beautiful grounds, it could really benefit from some interior updates and better attention to guest comfort and service.

We normally stay in airbnbs when we head up to Perth but I’m so glad we booked here instead. The staff, from the reception to the restaurant were all polite, well trained and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. But the big stand out was the beautiful pool area and the general vibe of the hotel. It reminded me of our holidays in Byron bay in the early 2000’s, no pretentions or “asthetic” renovations. It was so relaxing, being able to have a gin and tonic by the pool and not have to pay the $450 a night fee you would at somewhere like the crown. The pool is definitely on the cooler side which is actually great because you just dive in and out, its actually gross if it’s too warm because people linger in their all day. Buffet breakfast was delicious, the only down side was my screaming toddler so we didnt get to stay for as long as I would of liked.
For dinner we had a bottle of French rosè and charcuterie for $89, super delicious. With a view of the pool under festoon lights, with some live music in the background. It was *chefs kiss
Ample parking, lots of golf related things going on which my toddler loved!
Keep doing what you’re doing Joondalup country club , we’ll be back!!

Had a wonderful 8 nights stay at Joondalup Resort. King Room was clean, spacious and well appointed, bed very comfy with a lovely view over the lake. We also ate in the Restaurant a couple of nights and had lovely meals both times. Can highly recommend Joondalup Resort, didn’t disappoint on any level and is also very reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful stay we will definitely be back.

We stayed at Joondalup Resort over the Easter long weekend. It was a great stay all round. The room was clean, although in need of renovations, but this didn't affect our stay.

Sabrina (Duty Manager) was helpful as always.

We also ate at the Tap Room where we had the Sunday Roast. The food was exceptional and we want to give a huge thanks to Chef Michelle, Alan and the entire team at the Tap Room. They were warm and welcoming and we will definitely visit next time we stay at Joondalup resort.
