Ice cream on French toast? Yes please! The Iced strawberry matcha I believe is a seasonal thing they should 100% make a staple to their menu and their dirty chai latte was just the right balance of chai.

Service was stellar from the moment we arrived the people working that day were on top of it to get us water and menus and answer any questions we had. Quick and friendly service goes a long way!

A perfect spot to grab a bit to eat and a drink to sip on as you sit in their pink chairs and enjoy the start of your day.

This little strip along Darlinghurst Rd always has a very trendy weekend village type feel to it, created by varied food options good coffee & smiling restaurateurs. The lads at J-Lyn Cafe, smiling, friendly, efficient & welcoming.

The strawberry matcha was a surprise & we loved it. The Croissant Eggs Benny w/ smoked salmon, perhaps a little less heavy on the Hollandaise, I’d have enjoyed it better if the sauce hadn’t swallowed the meal & caused the eggs to be cold, perhaps flash fry the spinach & even the salmon to warm everything through a tad, better still try making the Hollandaise yourselves instead of the commercial store bought sauce, it’s seriously lacking that little lemon zest it’s suppose to have 🤷🏼‍♂️

Their shoorm dish is my favorite! Mushrooms, on sourdough, give it earthy notes, shaved parm, and two poached eggs just put over the goal.

Breakfast dishes and a flat white can't be beat. The food is well portioned for the price.

Excellent immersive city experience; seeing people enjoying their meals outside while people watching felt great to feel like a local bloke.

Attentive and friendly staff. I got the halloumi avocado toast which was plated beautifully, amazing poached eggs, and it all tasted great 🙂 Coffee was smooth with perfectly steamed milk. They use “sacred grounds” coffee beans.

The iced matcha is super sugary! Not my personal preference but it was well made and a bit of a treat

Great breakfast
We good two croissant benedict and they were just perfect
Egg was perfectly cooked and the bacon too
4 stars for the service as we ordered the croissant with the salmon and they brought us the bacon instead
But that’s okay, can happen.
In general we’ve loved what we’ve got.
The Mocha coffee was very nice and the latte was very nice too.

Love J-Lyn the wide skinny bagels with all sorts of fillings from salmon avo cream cheese to the favourite ham cheese tomato and coffees done to excellence! Weekly must do. Nice owner!

Had breakfast here and the food is absolutely delicious. Would recommend the croissant benedict. The croissant was super flaky and buttery, the eggs were perfectly poached, the portion of smoked salmon was generous, and the overall seasoning was just on point. Service was also excellent. Am saving this cafe in my list of favourites!
