I loved this place. We were happy to reach it after a grueling trip along the red sand pit of a road, the Donahue and Plenty Hwys. Beautiful setting amongst the eucalyptus trees and evening light. A few of us were lucky enough to nab a donger while the rest of our party camped. It’s a big cattle station between Tobermorey and Stewart Highway. The rest rooms were a nice but a jaunt from the campsite.

Great bush camp along the Plenty Highway. Water at the camp site, but no power, and a little walk down to the toilet/shower block. But a really pleasant evening around the campfire with awesome night skies, beautiful trees and birdlife. A pleasant 4 hour drive from Tobermorey Station or Gem Tree caravan park if you want to enjoy the journey and not rush to the destination.

What happened to us is kind of a miracle. Flat tyre is just the beginning, but the car accident was it all.
They helped us as soon as we arrived, no hesitation. They towed the car that has rolled over (the girls were safe and sound) took them back to the roadhouse and gave us a hug. All we needed. But that didn't end up there: They provided us with 6 beds, hot shower for these scared girls, words of confidence and warm. They made us feel at home after what could have been a tragedy.

Thanks to this family, we felt safe, confy, and calm.

PS: the camping is very nice, donkys and a beautiful horse, nice people and great facilities.

We camped for $20 per vehicle, for the night on our way to Uluru. Excellent place for a stop over. There's toilet and hot shower, a bit of a hike from the campgroind though. Friendly owner, has plenty of animals donkeys, cutest pony, horses, chooks to entertain the kids. There are cabins for hire also.

Did not stay, caravan park looks abandoned and there was army trucks blocking the driveway. Stayed on the river instead.

Beautiful part of the country... traveling in a slightly quieter time (May), very few vehicles on freshly graded road. Clean and tidy facilities, fuel available. At night.. utter silence.. starlight like no other, and constellations to take your breath away... Welcoming hospitality, from a tough breed!
