The Japanese Garden Café at the Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre is a delightful spot to relax and enjoy a quality coffee while soaking in the serene surroundings. During our visit, we enjoyed a well-made coffee that was smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed. Must try bacon and egg with decent coffee. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good garden to spend a few hours, experiencing Japanese culture and art. Feeding the fish and ducks can be a fun activity for kids. The garden is well kept and plenty of space to sit under tree and have a snack.

Not sure why this cafe rates only 4.0.
The menu is far more diverse and interesting than many other cafes in Cowra.
The quiche and frittata were top notch along with friendly service, in a lovely garden setting.
Coffees were of a high standard AND hot!

I visited the gardens with my family. We were planning on getting lunch at the cafe. We had our 5 month grandchild with us and our well behaved dog. Glorious weather not a cloud in the sky. We were told we could sit outside with our dog.
No umbrellas were up and we chose a large table and proceeded to put up the umbrella to give us some shade.
Once we had done that, one of the rudest staff members came out informed us to out it down due to wind. We apologised and did so, asked where we could sit to keep us shaded. She pointed to a small table next to the door that seated 2. I pointed out we had more than 2 people she then rolled her eyes and told us to bring more chairs over. They wouldn't all sit on the path where we were supposed to sit.
We decided to get takeaway coffees and sit in the gardens. Went in to make our order again the attitude appeared telling us the kitchen had closed and we could only get coffee and cake. Ok.. however we waited for service although 3 members of staff were standing there talking,
Ignoring us.
We paid for our below average coffees and stale cakes.
Customer service appalling!!
Ironically they work in the most beautiful peaceful of surroundings.

Nothing beats a hot afternoon than chilling here with a massive cold vanilla shake while enjoying the Japanese garden view. Price is very good. It is before the ticket office/gift store. Plenty of parking outside.

Nice Ramen with chicken. Vegetable soup was actually pumpkin soup which whilst it was a vegetable not really what you expect when ordering vegetable soup, so marked down for somewhat misleading menu.

This café under new management is fantastic. Great food in a fantastic setting, sitting outside looking over the gardens is amazing. The staff truly go out of their way to help.

Serviceable. Quite pricey for the small portion. A $20 lamb burger doesn't go too far but the atmosphere is nice. A good place to go with company but wouldn't go just for the food.
