This was an exceptional and immersive experience, with highlights at every stage of the stay. ||The two-night stay in the unique giraffe room, where we could feed and watch giraffes from the balcony, and the front balcony where we could watch the Alpaca and deer created an extraordinary connection with nature. ||The room was comfortable, with nice furniture, an excellent bathroom, and a thoughtful Bluetooth sound system. The only minor downside was the lack of a proper coffee option, we will bring our own machine next time.||The experience was elevated by thoughtful touches, starting with a delightful afternoon tea in a lodge reminiscent of Africa, followed by a guided zoo tour and then going to our room for giraffe feeding. ||The dinner experience was especially memorable, featuring a close-up view of lions feeding just behind the glass in the dining room, accompanied by a delicious five-star meal. ||We had a selection of canapés which were excellent, followed by the best steak we have had for a long time, and dessert, accompanied by very good wines. Breakfasts were equally impressive.||We enjoyed the lovely ambiance of walking through the zoo, with friendly and welcoming staff rounding out the experience. ||This a must-do experience, and certainly the best thing we have done in Australia. We will be back again for sure.

We stayed in the Reef Room in the Lodge. The in room aquarium is beautiful and Oscar( big blue fish) much quieter than the lions. It’s good value with zoo entrance fees and all meals and drinks included. Plus we did the 2 night package to get 3 close encounters included.

We had a one night stay in a Jungle Bungalow with 3 cheetah brothers outside. It was just extraordinary. We watched them being fed and sleep right at our glassed-in patio. The guided zoo tour was very informative and better than walking around yourself. You also have the opportunity to wander the zoo after breakfast and before it opens to the public. Its a great opportunity to see the animals when they’re most active.||While the wildlife experience is THE reason for staying at Jamala; the bungalow accommodation and its lodge are themselves of a very high standard. The Bungalow was spacious and meticulously clean with a large bathroom, full bath, walk in shower, lounge area and very comfortable bed. Ours was very private except for the cheetahs looking in! There was a new enclosure being finished behind but it never bothered us and you don’t really see it. It would be a terrific bungalow to stay in when complete as you’d have cheetahs out front and another animal to view from the back balcony.||The separate guest lodge is superb. The staff are great. They’re attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Everything is looked after. The food and drinks are tasty and plentiful. The dinner menu has dishes to suit everyone’s dining preferences and the lamb shank and barramundi we had were delicious. Dessert options are very tasty too. I recommend the Chocolate mousse sphere. The white lions and hyenas pay a visit during dinner to remind you of the uniqueness of this place.||If I had any recommendations, it’d be to spoil yourself and stay 2 nights.

Lemur Room....wow
Outside the bedroom we see Lions, as well below White Tigers, beside the bed are two Lemurs, at the front door we see Leopards and Hyenas.
What an amazing immersive experience, well worth every moment.
Staff are amazing and care, some have been here for years.
A privately owned zoo of Rescued animals, the priority we both firmly believe in, as they cannot survive otherwise.
Well done the family and staff.
A truly WoW experience

The whole experience exceeded anything we had previously done anywhere else... will find it hard to match our Jamala Wildlife Lodge stay.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were exceptional, food was fantastic and the animal experiences you take part in leave you with memories that you will have forever.

From a zoo perspective, it is a fantastic layout that makes you feel closer to the animals than I have experienced at other zoos, and the animals all look happy. From a hotel perspective, it is luxury accommodation that just happens to have exotic animals centimetres away.

We were lucky enough to have won our stay as part of a competition but we are already in discussions on when to return, with the kids, at our cost.

Thank you to all the Jamala team and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
