Booked for one night to stay in Innisfail City! Place very aesthetically pleasing, peaceful vibes, room is minimalist yet cozy and their staff also kind and friendly 🌬️🌬️😷

Booked a room months ago for two days and paid a deposit of one day in advance. On arrival we were told motel had been sold and is no longer functioning as a motel, and no longer goes by the name InnisfailTropical Lodge. We had not been contacted by the previous owners, nor had our deposit been returned. Due to a dance festival being held in town we had great difficulty in finding any accommodation; thankfully we managed to get the last available cabin at the local caravan park. Spoke with several local businesses, none of whom had anything complimentary to say about the people who previously owned the motel. DON'T even try to book a room at Innisfail Tropical Lodge.

Worst room I have ever had in a motel, ever! Bed was simple with a doona on it without the inner. Looked very dirty. I didn't use the blanket in the wardrobe as it didn't look clean. The pillow was hard and needed to be replaced. I couldn't sleep on pillow without a tee shirt covering it. The fan above was dirty and dusty. I could have at least have a kettle and milk in the room for a cuppa. The communal rooms weren't very clean. All in all I was NOT happy with the small room. I asked for an upgrade but Margaret said there were none available. I spent the next hour or so looking for another motel but nothing was available so I had to sleep in this horrible room.

This establishment is no longer in business, nor a motel. Took our deposit (one day's accommodation) when we made our booking but did not inform us when they sold the establishment, nor refunded our deposit. Had to look for alternative accommodation which was almost impossible as accommodation booked out due to dance festival. Managed to get the last cabin available at local caravan park.

Great customer service. The rooms are clean and tidy and not terribly expensive. The outdoor lounge was irresistible this morning with a free cuppa etc. They also have laundry and kitchen facilities. The place has a new and maintained look about it.

I loved this place! All the staff and manager were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. The moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile and made feel welcome almost immediately. The room is always clean and is equipped with a fridge and TV. The bed and pillow are fantastic better than any bed at previous hostels I have stayed in. I was delighted to see that there was Wi-Fi throughout and a flat screen tv in the lounge area. There is also a pool table and a nice touch with free tea and coffee. A laundry and kitchen area with everything you need and filtered water. The area was always maintained at a high level of cleanliness and I always felt welcome when I stayed here. Its a home away from home with bargain prices compared to what you would get at a bagpackers. I love this place. Will definitely be back. Thank you for being so helpful and making me feel at home.

My experience at the Tropical Lodge was a time in my life that will always stay in my heart,I met many wonderful people including the amazing owner Kellie, wonderful manager, the care taker Ed also the weekend cleaner"Dot" A safe environment as locked gate and care taker doesn't mess about with trouble makers,police will be called if needed.
I stayed at the Tropical Lodge for a while and can honestly say that it's SIMPLY AMAZING! Thanks for everything youve done for me Kellie your a sweetheart. Over all rate out of 10 is easily a 10 so do yourself a favor and stay for a night or like myself semi permanent 🌴🐍🐸🦎🐢🐊🌴

Check in was fine given info on where to eat. The room was neat and tidy apart from the dead cockroach’s, came back to room after dark killed couple more cockroaches then pulled back sheets to find blood stained sheets!!!
Maybe just check room before you commit.
