a really wonderful school. ITS teachers help you learn at your own pace, and help navigate the often confronting experience of improvising in front of an audience. classes start from a base, entry level and gradually bring you up to speed with each level. If you are interested in developing more ease with being in front of people, or more ease with your own creativity - this is an awesome place to start that journey.

I signed up to beginner improv around 2021, looking to make some connections outside of my industry. I am now about to start level 5 improv.
I have enjoyed learning a different way of thinking in a safe and encouraging and supportive environment, and meeting new people who bring fresh perspectives and are your potential scene partners! You learn to bring the best out of each other and nobody is there trying to make you fail, though mistakes are welcomed because that's how you learn!
Also, the variety of shows that ITS put on (grads, current students, guest stars and/or teachers) each week is amazing and a great way to spend a weeknight/weekend. When you visit ITS you are being a part of a welcoming and diverse community and you really share some laughs!

ITS is a great little community. The classes are well organised. I have had the advantage of experiencing three different teachers and while everyone is different, there is a similar theme and great supportive feeling from the team of staff.

Absolutely love the courses by Improv Theatre Sydney so far: I've completed level 1 and now on level 2. The teachers are knowledgeable and creative and it's fantastic learning from them. If you're looking to try improv, whatever level, I highly recommend ITS.

Love the team and the workshops at ITS! Come for a drop in jam to experience what it's all about. They make it a very fun (and safe) place, make you look good, and add to all your ideas! The improv tools you learn here are not just for the stage, but for every day work and play.
