Hubby & I travelling on motorbikes from SA and chose to stay here after reading other reviews. Absolutely the BEST town and place to stay. We stayed in a motel style room behind the Hotel, and it was massive, clean, well equipped, super comfortable bed and bathroom clean and modern. There is also Hotel style rooms above pub itself. Concrete carpark for bikes made it so easy with an easy walk into the pub. The staff were friendly and welcoming, meals were amazing and breakfast the next morning with the warm fire made us want to stay longer, but we had to keep moving. In our 3 week travels many other people also commented about the Imperial Hotel/Motel and Bingara being a beautiful town. We'll definitely stay here again.

When we heard the Imperial had new owners we decided to give it another crack for dinner in the dog friendly beer garden out the back. The upside... the new people behind the bar and serving food were friendly and welcoming... the food was fresh, well made & priced and delicious. We had the fish, chips & salad and housemade schnitty ditto plus mushroom sauce. The downside... the bloke behind the bar needs to pull a better beer 'cos it was flat with no head, and out of 3 meals one came out almost straight away with the other two approx. 30 minutes later well after other tables who'd also ordered around the same time got their food.

Great location in the heart of Bingara but this is the only good thing to say about this place. Poor service, rude staff and we were told to leave (with vulgar language) when we complained to the staff about people ignoring the law and smoking at the dining tables. Never going here again and am actively warning people to stay away for their own safety

Stopped at the Imperial Hotel Bingara for breakfast
I ordered Sausages and eggs my wife ordered Bacon and eggs
My coffee was lukewarm warm
When the meals arrived they had served me bacon instead of sausages when I questioned the lady who took the order she blatantly told me that I *ucked up not her
She was very rude
Definitely will never go back

If you want to stay somewhere, where you WON'T be welcomed as you pay for your accommodation nor told times for meals or what various facilities are available, have your meal order stuffed up with the added bonus of been sneered at when you bring that to their attention, being abused then rudely told to get out of the dining area when you ask about Sunday evening meals (apparently they close at 3pm on Sunday but we were not told that ---go to first part of this sentence), barely edible, miserably small meals ( I had an overcooked super salty chicken parmigiana, a dozen chips and barely enough vegetables to fed a midget hamster. On leaving we did our best to bid a pleasant farewell to the individual that tossed me out on Sunday arvo only to received a contemptuous grunt from him. Add to this the porkies I was told about the accommodation, of which I will expand upon, then THIS is the place for you.

I wanted to book a twin share room, of which their website shows a total of seven rooms that meet this criteria, only to be told that they are all double beds. The hotels website has been updated this year, being told that all these rooms have had a total replacement of beds since January, I find difficult to swallow. It appears to me that the hotel's policy is to force people into the most expensive rooms first and then use the other rooms as overflow. This is obviously a tactic to maximise income at the expense of the customers wallet.

To sum up all this, a deceptive, rude and incompetent business, and guess what! I won't darken the door of this establishment ever again, as a now regular visitor to Bingara, you have blown it.

To its credit, the place was clean and well organised and the two girls doing the rooms were delightfully cheerful people.

And the food in the pub next door is even worse, and that saying something.

As with a few others here, the attitude of,I presume, the owners/s is bloody atrocious.
The older woman with the mid length silver hair was frazzled, rude, unsmiling and ignorant of her computer skills.
THEN there's the balding pockmarked "Lurch" character who starts threatening with expulsion.
We were 9 blokes on our 5th in 6 years visit for drinks and dinner.
Were talking about $75 shouts and about 10 of.
Then there's 9 dinners at about $30 each.
Then there's 3 bottles of wine that the woman didn't even have a wine list for FFS.
Only one of our crew was staying there as the rest were at the great hotel around the corner,I believe he was happy.
The dinners were from *hithouse (mine) to ok at best.
The only shining light was the youngish happy smiling female backpacker who was there.
As someone else said here recently If you like being abused verbally and dealt with distain then this is your place.
Our group had now pulled the pin on Bingera.

My husband and I had lunch here and really enjoyed our meals. Prices are fair and the meal size was decent. I had a lovely, large Caesar salad with chicken. The service was good, lovely cool air conditioning and the toilets were clean. What more could you ask ?
