Wonderful rejuvenation of a 1931 Hotel, keeping true to its era but with all the necessary modern touches for a great stay.
Meal was excellent and staff exceptionally friendly.
We even managed to enjoy some live music.
Very happy to recommend.
PS....the old school ceiling fans in the pub were amazing !!

Great traditional country pub restored to its former glory in a stylish way. The rooms were comfy and clean, and good value. It is right in the middle of town, so if you cant get in the hotel carpark, there is ample parking nearby. The pub food was a cut above the typical pub bistro, with some interesting specials. Good, friendly staff

Love this hotel and drop in as we come through town from Melbourne
Great vibe and layout with big opening for the breeze to come through as you enjoy a beer.
This time we met the fantastic barman Dean who not only pulled our beers but gave us some great tourist advice too. (We visited Protestors Falls on his advice)
Dean is a great asset to the pub and just
adds to its value

Very clean and comfortable, bathroom big enough to throw a party in, very reasonable prices. Right in the middle of town. parking at rear. Meals in the pub are enormous and good quality. Would happily stay here again if travelling through Murwillimbah.

We were very disappointed with the food there, my husband had a porterhouse steak that was a little tough and the pepper sauce was dreadful, you would not have known it was pepper sauce. I had battered whiting, which was over cooked and dry. We were put in the children's play area as the music was deafening in the better dining area. I would not go back there.

This is a very friendly hotel, check in was simple & easy, it's a breeze. The room is clean, comfortable , and even got mini kitchenette with 2 hot plates, and all necessary utensils. The fridge got 2 bottles of local Mount Warning mineral water (one still & one "a bit" fuzzy) in glass bottles - nowadays it's not easy to find mineral water in glass bottle! It also got a very large bathroom - probably the biggest in Australia's hotels / motel or any accommodation.
The foods at the restaurant is reasonably priced, service is great and friendly, while the beer at the pub is also very reasonable - great thing about staying in a hotel with a pub is that we can just relax and drink. It was a Saturday night, dinner time the restaurant / pub is full inside outside. The foods were very well served, nothing to fault. There's even a singer entertaining the customers.
Interestingly, with all those activities going down stair, the hotel room was nice and quiet! Not forgetting the busy street is just outside! So it is also a very nice location, with lots of parking space at the back.

I'm giving 5 stars 🌟 first because of the young Gentleman 'Asher/Ashley' . The hotel room air con vents are connected and I was freezing. I called late and Asher was so helpful. He changed the temperature and was I could feel he was genuinely concerned about my comfort. He also brought up spare blankets and was ever so kind.
This pub is gorgeous and I've really enjoyed every minute. The amazing, caring service made this a 5 star stay. Promote that man!!

Great foodie pup with lots of charm.
We ate here on a hot spring day after reading an article in the Tweed Weekly, the place was pumping, a few seats spare outside.
Appeared to be a good mix of locals and tourists. Service was great, friendly and fast.
Burgers were delicious, some of the best in the area.
